Class video mate and some driving 👌 I hope ur door buffs out lol , one piece of advise that I can give u is to get the hifly tyres on her till u see the difference, more grip and the smoke is unreal , but ur going well 👌😎
The car is better and you’re improving in it so all positives lad keep it going. Julian in garage-d does heated windscreens for 180s I’m very tempted myself it’s hard to deal with the windows fogging up
Thanks Tommy, definitely feeling a lot more comfortable in it. Let’s hope round four goes in our favour. Heater windscreen is definitely on this list for a winter refresh
To say I’m relieved is a understatement, last couple of months were really challenging but we are making progress 👏🏻 thanks for the continued support 🙏🏻
Nice to see ya finally bonding with the car. It's amazing what just changing the front coilovers done for the car. And a hats off to yourself and all involved in the OSNS event, what a day. 🤟
Check jimmy Oakes video out, his steering assembly ( in the car literally from the steering wheel to the knuckle ) I’m not sure what it’s actually called, was super stiff and would spin him out on lock!
Hey that’s exactly why I decided to rip the steering rack out of the car to check that, luckily the joint is free to spin….i was hoping it would be stiff. But the seized top mounts could be the problem all along 🤞🏼
Inner wheel arch can be a problem with wisefab because of low castor, some people cut it out and put a flatter sheet in that area (james deanes new s15 build has it) The top mount can cause the problem, but theres suspended weight on it too and the rose joint type lca's can be stiff too from lack of maintaince, bc or hsd or meister r top mounts interchangeable so you can get them handy enough
My inner wheel arch’s are definitely going need replacing over the winter….lets just say they seem a few sledge hammers😅 hopefully with some new top mounts and all the rose joints freed up and well oil for this weekend we see some massive improvement 🤞🏼
That’s some thing we are going to play with in our next test day, some say the geo master kit likes more caster then what other people say. I think for me I have to go off what feels best for me and my driving style as you do lots of sim driving your set up might not suit over people.
@@Niallgoesdrifting yeah for sure man, I just know those values and tyre pressures is huge for me in sim regarding spinning out as you say as are the bump and rebound, it’s a mine field but wishing you the best, I remember the days of your Jetta
Thanks for all the comments 👏🏻 we have been busy improving the car, we are testing this weekend and Irish drift championship Saturday some exciting new vlogs coming
How much toe in do you have in the rear of the car? Looks like it wants to drive to angle. This is usually from too little toe in. Is the front rubbing on the tie rods or something? I’ve had this happen and it would make me loop it all the time.
Good vlog. New car teething issue's. Looks like a bit of seat time and a bit of knowledge from those who have driven same set up may get you to the finishing line.
hi man just coming across your channel i like it fair dues on your progression, ill be rooting for you on events to come. just wondering what gearbox is in the bmw with 4,4 diff is it 5 or 6 speed. just recent got a 3 series wagon 3.0 ltr has 2.9 welded atm, i purchased a 3.38 that going to build lsd. car is 5 speed. any info what i should be lookinf aiming towards getting, will be road/drift car??
Cheers guys, can't say I have ever won anything before😁 in the middle of building a track civic so the tyres are badly needed. I'll chat to ya soon on Facebook Nial. Huge thanks to Gareth. 🤘
Sport is not easy, Some pressure on the second run, i even felt it watching, Car looks well in person 👏👏 Id imagine its a very different car to drive, the power delivery in the N/A BMW would probably be a lot more linear compares to the turbo engine
It’s the worst time waiting in that line for qualifying knowing if you f**k up your going home. It’s a different animal to drive all together but we will have to get some more testing and find a sweet spot that we are comfortable with. Thanks for the support as always 👏🏻👏🏻
