Why did you shoot the pillars instead of just activating them? Didn't waste a ton of ammo? I know you reloaded later but I assumed just activating them is faster.
So I've played this game for years and yes Red team is invulnerable before you take control of them. That said, I had Douglas actually go down once, just a couple days ago. Stayed down until I got near him. On legendary, no skulls. Not sure wtf happened. I didn't see it happen, only heard it when the announcer said, "Spartan down". Went to look and a chopper was right on top of him, but it shouldn't have damaged him. Must have been a glitch
So many times, in the final minute, that mega turret targets the last transport and kills it instantly. All that time spent in the mission for nothing cuz it fires 1 barrage and wipes it out.
lmao I was losing so badly that the AI got clogged up on the main road and stopped attacking, allowing me to counter with a massive air force. Tactical stupidity has won me the day.
excellent gameplay on xbox! I got into the console late. I'm a big fan of Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal on Xbox (I play with the Xbox Elite 2 controller with paddles) and I bought the MasterChief Collection. I'm 25 years late and I love it!! I have 2 questions: is doom on the controller as good as halo? and what is your favorite halo? for gameplay and single-player campaign? From best to worst ? For me it's the halo reach who is the best !
Nearly failed this mission cuz the 2nd covenant base built turrents again and somehow they were sniping my reactor when i was already up the ramp and a short ride away from the goal. Never seen the Ai be that crazy before wild man.
Thankyou kind sir following your guides helped me complete something I thought I never would; all missions on legendary gold (including a perfect score on Arcadia City if you can believe it).
OK, the part about the hunters along with all these other covenant aliens is I usually stick with the turret to take them out. Actually does a hell of a job in neutralizing the hunters when I go through that. All you have to do is continuously fire upon them killing them they won’t get back up. I’ve tried on legendary as well as all those other settings of easy, normal and heroic.
just finished going through the entire Halo: CE campaign on Legendary and honestly I don't think I could've done it without your walkthrough. The tips and tricks throughout each chapter were extremely helpful for getting me through it. I appreciate you making these videos so much! I left a like on all the videos :)

Me and my brother just completed the Halo 3 campaign on legendary and only I got the achievements for completing it on normal, heroic and legendary but he didn't and the game is showing he hasn't completed the campaign on legendary but we both played from mission 1 so wtf?
for me this mission is broken on legendary. The flood driving the ghosts on the library approach take 3 hits to kill, the wraith took 12, and the ghosts just don't stop, and if you flip one the pilot as a f'ing rocket launcher that one hit kills you. I can't be the only one having difficulties on legendary with this.
Started with Halo 2 over Christmas in '05. Didn't have Xbox Live until '08, so mostly played the campaign between CE and 2, filled in with some split-screen multiplayer here and there. Been a fan of the franchise ever since.
I beat this level on Legendary. What I found is that the Assault Rifle is actually very effective at taking out hordes of grunts and jackals (up close). It may not be as effective as the plasma pistol, but it gets the job done if you fire in short bursts.
Good point! The Assault Rifle operates pretty well for stunning Grunts and Jackals. I admit, I'm not the most patient with the burst fire on this weapon, for this campaign at least. Otherwise, I may have used it more were it not for the ridiculous punch the Plasma Pistol packs.
i was originally looking to chill with a non commentary version, but you respected the cutscenes and you aren't acting over the top or anything. I'm gonna continue with this playthrough for sure. <3 (the other playthroughs kept dying which kinda ruined the flow too lmao)
