Hi. From one review, I heard Grey Goose had no exceptional qualities and that the hype was made only due to its fancy bottle design, made in France bottles, water used and so on to use it as a selling point rather than offer a unique taste. How would you place it against Absolut?
Hey guys, I received my Remington Lite Humidor and seem to be having issues with the RH using the built in humidity system the unit offers. I'm using a PG Solution and keep it set in the low 60's and I've found mold on multiple cigars already. A lot of people on the forums are talking about the heartfelt beads and using those in the water reservoir. I see you're using the Boveda packs though. Could you explain your process with that? You saw 2 320g packs per shelf? Do you adjust the humidity level on the display so the fans are not constantly running? What levels are you keeping your temps and RH at on the display? Sorry, I'm a bit new to learning how to properly maintain RH.
I think the flame red doesn't really match their picture of it on the ZenniOptical's website because it's mostly red than flame-like orange. I love how it turned out to look here so I am planning to buy a polarized mirror sunglasses with flame red.
My mother just received her first pair of Zenni’s today and she’s loving them. I’m so happy for her because we were about to spend almost $500 for her glasses that’s with insurance and it was about $400 without insurance. Make it make sense. We got her prescription progressives and more for $75 from Zenni’s. I just ordered my own pair too.
Hey there, It is not recommended to use boiled water in place of distilled. There are a ton of stores in the US that carry distilled water and it's pretty inexpensive. I recommend searching online. (For instance, I can see online that Home Depot sells it, a place I would've never thought to look.) Rafael
Cigar collections are hardly static. Also, putting down someone else because you think their "cigars are trash" is rather distasteful. I invite you to record a video of your collection and then share it here, we can critique it! Rafael
I don't see an update video after having them for awhile so if you wouldn't mind, how do these stack up on 2024? I just began a new career where business professional, and occasionally business casual, is the dress code. I need something to help my plantar fasciitis and rockport doesn't last very long in my experience. Do you still recommend these? If not, what do you recommend for a comfortable dress shoe that you can wear when working long hours on your feet? Thank you in advance.
Hey there, The team member who originally reviewed these is no longer with us, but from what I spoke with him before moving on, he was still using these and very happy with them. I have personally reviewed a couple of Amberjack's shoes and also found them to be very comfortable. Boot: bespokeunit.com/articles/shoes/amberjack-the-boot-copper/ Cap-Toe: bespokeunit.com/articles/shoes/amberjack-cap-toe/ We still recommend them for overall comfort and PF specifically, though I invite you to try them yourself. I do believe they have free returns.
Nice. This was a popular mixer in Curaçau de cades ago. Never saw it again, until I found a bottle in a German Aldi today. The easy mix was 1/3 tonic. 1/3 fresh lime and 1/3 Pitu. May have been a bar tender special, you could get the same mix with pisco. Loved them both, tried it again tonight and I still do. It has a soapy aftertaste that - to me - moves it closer to Mescal than to white rum. The Aldi bottle was 38 percent in stead of 40, I think the bar had 1.5 liter bottles in stead of the 0.7 liter version that made its way to Germany.

I don’t know why this is but alot of smokers I’ve come across talk junk about this company. Wonder what experience made them have this outlook. Guess I’ll be picking up a few Davidoffs to give me a better understanding. They have such high standards I’d think that’d be a good enough reason to support them. Good thing I don’t take anyone’s word for it and try it for myself. I have respect for all companies that truly love their products but also the customers they’re making them for.
Hey there, Davidoff's cigars are definitely a premium brand, so it's possible that some find the price of their smokes a bit off-putting. That being said, their cigars are phenomenal and deemed by most to be worth the price they command. Rafael
Both Ballantine’s and William Peel are Scotch blends, but there are differences in their composition. Ballantine’s is a mix of malt and grain whiskies, with malt coming from several distilleries, including Glenburgie and Miltonduff. William Peel is also a blended Scotch, combining malt and grain whiskies, though the specific distilleries aren't always disclosed. As for maize, Scotch whisky is typically made from malted barley, but grain whisky in blends can include other cereals like maize.
@@Bespokeunit I know that grain Whisky can include other cereals like rye or wheat, and I'd be eager to discover some single grain whisky with rye malt, but maize is in fact the only cereal that I don't really like..
Cigarpage has these for a very good price (www.pntrs.com/t/TUJGRUxJS0JGSUtMR0dCRkhLRkhO?sid=ytc&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cigarpage.com%2Foliva-connecticut-reserve.html) though as you mention, two-a-day definitely adds up. Rafael
When we say a fragrance is 'dated,' we mean it has a classic, nostalgic feel that may remind some people of a specific era. It’s not a bad thing-some love the vintage vibe, while others prefer something more modern. Givenchy Gentleman has a timeless quality that could feel a bit 'old-school' to some, but that’s also part of its charm!
Hey there, Personally, I would go for the SRPD79. I just like the black-coated case on that one more. However, this SRPD65 is probably a bit more 'dressy' (if a black watch can be called that) given that it's a sort of polished black coating and is on a full bracelet. Rafael
Sounds like you may not have engaged the heads properly after reassembling or one of the plastic components may have broken while you were taking it apart. Rafael
Horrible company; shoes have poor finish and their customer service is terrible. My boots have a great design, but they should have been dyed traditionally instead of the lousy, uneven painting which looks very amateurish. Fortunately, I had purchased them brand new online for about 1/2 their retail price -- perhaps on eBay; I can't recall. Also, the company mendaciously takes down all negative reviews from their website, which is why their products seem to be so well liked. Avoid like the plague!
Sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience with Lethato. We created this video review a number of years ago and we're quite satisfied with the product and overall experience.
They have lots of bad reviews. And I would never patronize any business that is so corrupt it removes all negative reviews from its website, regardless of their merits. The absurd and uneven painted finish on my boots looks like it was done by a child.
Nice set up by the way. As I can see you have shares with Boveda, that's why you do not use to humidification systems that comes with it. oh and to season humidor with boveda packs hahaha obvious sign man. crooks do turns around and bite you people, be care what you see and hear...lol
We opted for Boveda packs here as we believe they're more precise and reliable that the integrated humidification system. The downside is that due to the capacity of the cabinet, you have to use a significant number of packs.
Thanks for the info. Are you saying when you buy a new humidor to expect to season it every quarter for the first year? Kinda makes sense to me but wanted to double check.
Hey there, It'll really depend on your particular circumstances but generally no. With a new humidor, you want to consider seasoning it once a year if you deem it necessary. How do you determine if it's necessary? you monitor with a hygrometer and if you're not able to maintain the RH high enough with your maintenance Boveda packs (65/69/72% RH), then a re-seasoning will be necessary to get the wood inside the humidor to rehumidify. Hope this helps, Rafael
Seems like they just want to make more money. So don’t recharge your packs and buy new. That way he can put his children through college AND afford Ferrari payments. 🤣
A lot of cigars I’ve tried will only ash for about an inch and then only burn thru the inside center. I’ll touch it up and it’ll grow ash for another inch and then again only burn thru the center. Tried different brands and shades same thing. What am I doing wrong? Using a straight cut so far.
Hey there, What cigars are they? Also, if they're "tunneling" as you describe, it sounds like you may be smoking them too fast. Try taking slower, longer draws and waiting a bit more time between each one. Rafael
