I received a Bobbin from Rite directly showing very sloppy workmanship, dried and dirty glue all over, with a big stamp showing “Made In The USA”. it would make a great “Made In The USA” ironic photos when companies like Rite Bobbin up their prices by showing Made In The USA. Rite Bobbin lacks Quality Control (QC). Worst of all, they do not have any customer service to answer emails or phone in these instances. They take your money and go off on vacation without any care in the world. QC issues I can understand BUT NO customer service I cannot!
If you have a Rite bobbin, please reply: - I’m not sure how the number of ounces of tensions translate to tying procedures. Is 16 oz. tension allow you to spin & pack deer or elk hair? Is 1 oz. tension light enough to allow you to spin the hook rapidly so that you can place thread for the whole length of the hook using a full rotary vice like a Norvise or a Renzetti?
Nice product demonstration. I wasn't even thinking of getting one of these, but now that I have seen this vid. I may pick one up for tying bucktail jigs.
I saw this at the fly festival in Glide, Oregon. I could not believe how fast and simple it was. It was more like magic. I guess I need to save up to get new bobbins!!!

The thread being used is UNI Stretch. It was the largest and most visible we could find for the video. Any tying thread will work to do the knots. Thanks, Lyle
