Clear as mud to me. Seriously I dont understand wth they are talking about. The law says the checks have to be done on firearms that are sold at gun shows or have been advertised for sale and all sales that need a background check have to have a waiting period unless of course they are to family members or of course to LE etc etc ( this one REALLY annoys me as if life long firearm owners are 2nd rate citizens to public servants). So my question is can I or can I NOT sell my firearm collection to my 35 yr long time friend who already owns many firearms and who like myself has held several Federal Firearm Licenses in the past. I think forcing people to PAY to sell their LEAGALLY acquired firearms smells pretty fishy and cant help but wonder if money changed hands somewhere along the line, after all the going rate in the Augusta area for a transfer of a firearm thru a dealer is $35 EACH FIREARM . So I have 10 firearms I need to sell so I can EAT , each one is worth $100 and I will have to lose $ 350 . NICE I bet the dealers are jumping for joy...no price was set in this legislation for the transfers all it says is a REASONABLE fee. Its just another example of this majority parties lust for punishing the innocent for the crimes of the guilty, they do it all the time and firearm owners are a favorite target. Make no mistake this is the result of the Lewiston tragedy the gun haters took full advantage of the sadness ambulance chasers one and all. If Governor Lepage had been voted in this would not have happened. Innocent people like myself would not be punished for the states INCOMPETENCE in handling their famous red, yellow blue whatever law they were all so proud of passing.
Hello One Force. Love your videos !! Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that the 24hr waiting period does not start until you fill out your background check and it comes back approved.

It's a 72 hour hold that starts at the agreement of purchase between the buyer and seller of the firearm, it does have to overlap with the 44-73 form, but not start with it.
