As The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we distribute National Lottery grants from £10,000 to £10million and over, funding projects that sustain and transform the UK's heritage.
I was in Ireland about 3 weeks ago and we took a day trip to Belfast. That day trip stuck with me well after I got back, and I had to look at every video about the troubles and Northern Ireland in general. Derry Girls was part of my research. I really connected with this show. It was great.
A great project. Thanks to Maureen from Ulster Wildlife and Olive from RNIB. We really enjoy working in the garden and we have lots of support from Connswater Community and Glentoran Football Club ❤
I went there and that was the exactly how the handwriting was even the kitchen and can you show us the peg place were you can hang things that's were we had our lunch
Nature has become increasingly important to me, especially in reminding me that I am part of God's amazing creation. I have never totally immersed myself in the crazy and confusing culture of the 21st century but by chance, I recently became aware of George the Poet, which led me to finding this video. He understands so much, which is why you chose him. Thanks to him, to nature, and all who appreciate the nature of our relationship. ❤
Hello and thank you for the video. I am planning to open a community interest company which will involve me by providing counselling to people on benefits and low incomes. Is there anything I can do that will improve my chances of getting funding ? Thanks
Hello and thanks for your question. We provide an opportunity where you can submit your heritage project idea through a project enquiry form, and a member of the Engagement team will provide feedback. You can find out more about this on our website: www.heritagefund.org.uk/funding/how-to-apply - Best wishes.
Can't overstate the pull this series had. I'm a 33 year old man from Germany, and for the three days it took me to watch Derry Girls I was entirely invested into what these 5 were up to. What a great series with heart. And while our mostly catholic city of 300.000 had its sectarian violence end 300 years ago, we too have city walls and gates and they're all the rage with the tourists lol
Love the Derry Girls! Loved my visit to Derry a couple of years ago. I was camping just outside of town. I asked the young guy mowing the lawn, "The border's around here somewhere?" "Oh , just over in the shuck." Less that 15 meters. Though he wasn't around back in the day, he pointed out the British outpost, the dragon's teeth border check point up on the road. The city is great, the Free Derry Museum is a must see to anyone who's ever peacefully protested. Beautiful city, friendly people. (Even the Bogside teenagers trying on their best middle school menacing look were a treat. I'm from Detroit (during the Troubles we had the bigger body count than all of the North) but I tried to act a bit menaced. You can walk everywhere, people are friendly and any nuns you see won't be armed with rulers.
As times like this when Doctor Who got the showrunner and the 14th Doctor we need you to portray a graceful and attractive companion to ride in the TARDIS to make TARDIS team great again and also need a composer believe to be Murray Gold or try import a Japanese classical composer Toru Fuyuki ahead of next year anniversary dedicating to Kings Charles III reigning era.
Love this Video, Derry Looks so cool, so refreshing from the towns here in Canada, there's no history here like you have there. On a side note, is anybody else reading the articles about when season 3 is coming to Netflix and catching the hints, there's hints all over the place that Derry Girls, is gonna get A MOVIE !!! Every article I read says something along the lines, of season 3 will be it on this platform, or in this sense of Derry Girls, or like as far as we know it, or who knows if one or all of the characters will be back in another fashion... Like Are You Kidding Me, Just Tell us There's Gonna Be A Movie okay!!! We are Dying to Know Ladies! And James. Lol common. spill the tea!
I was fortunate to visit amazing Derry this summer. In Bogside our tour guide told us how his brother was shot to death by the British army on Bloody Sunday and the British government has been covering for the murderer ever since.
