Love right around 2:10 where you have plane image behing loco in the same orientation. Can really see how the gesign of the plane was incorporated to the loco. Had fun doing this one.
Tough summer for ya, but it sounds like things are on the up again. Thanks for keeping in touch and I can’t wait to see you again soon!! Wonderful video as always!
Super video, I have the same 4014 BB oil version, same problem disconnected wire. Was thinking about adding more smoke fluid in all places but was a little scared because of the notice in the owners manual: "DO NOT EXCEED 20 DROPS as this can cause your smoke unit to become over- saturated allowing leakage onto the electronics." I was concerned about the electronics. Again fantastic video and can't wait to see your review on the triplex. I also purchased 4012 Vision Line Big Boy, had to go back to Lionel to fix the 4-digit programming that wouldn't work. They replaced a faulty bluetooth chip. Thanks for your positive and negative review, that's the way they all should be! Mike
Southern Pacific owned three DD35B units as well. DC traction motors did not go away--they are still offered in some models (like Amtrak's P-42 psgr diesels). AC motors are better at lugging at low speeds, but DCs are better at higher speeds. The color scheme on your model is UP's current scheme, not the as-delivered 1960s versions (e.g., with silver trucks and a red sill stripe). The colors--Armour Yellow/Harbor Mist Gray--date back to 1934 and are the oldest scheme still in service.
That was an honest filming mistake. In the video, you can clearly see right as I said that, I was looking at the sign that said Standard Gauge. . But walking and filming, trying not to bump into people got the best of me. Nice watch catching the slip though!!
Absolutely!!! That's to be published here next weekend. SUPER excited to get that one out! It looked absolutely amazing running on the layout during filming!!!
