Good e-Reader Tech is a new technology channel that focuses on smartphones, tablets, unboxings and comparisons. On this channel we focus less on e-readers and more on the tech side of things. We will be breaking down the latest tech stories of the week and and give you a sense on the latest news, as it develops.
Hi there - have you run into any issues changing the language? Mine has just arrived and despite following your guide, the button reading “katakana hiragana and romanji” doesn’t change the language?
I was very tempted to get one of these clocks, but for the price plus shipping (not on Amazon in the U.S.), I just couldn't pull the trigger. I like what Mudita stands for, but I ended up getting the "poor-man's" Mudita Bell - a Braun BC22. Besides, I didn't need the bells and whistles.
Maybe it will work in horizontal mode? Also, your wording is rather confusing. You say Amazon products, making it sound like the Bigme reader is an Amazon product. Better to say the Kindle app on an android based product. I suppose it won't work on Apple products but you did not give a complete testing of the ring on various products.
It doesn’t work via Bluetooth with a Kindle. It’s an RFID device. It pairs with itself and the part that stays on the Kindle emits a signal that simulates a human touch. The only downside is that any of the three buttons will only turn the page forward.
If only SONY had included this audio functionality into their phones! It would be simply astonishing. Just imagine using your preferred streaming service while walking in a park with a limitless digital data plan from your cellphone company! Current DAPs sadly can only get streaming content via WI-FI or play pre-recorded content. I don't think it's acceptable today.
One of the things rarely mentioned is that in these players sony modifies android to support hi res quility in music streaming apps over Bluetooth. That means that over Bluetooth (in apple music, for example) it down samples full hires song to bandwidth your headphones support and the quality is much better than on the phone. Test is. You wouldn't believe it. Try AAC headphones, apple music lossless and play same song from this player and from Android phone. The quality will be much better with the player. It will probably work only on headphones without hires codes support, but I didn't test it. I tested on acc codec. It needs to be enabled in settings. Its called hi res streaming. It is disabled on default to save battery.
There is one major gotcha: Sony doesn't update Android so after a few years apps stop working; not a problem for your own music, a bummer for streaming.
If you enjoy music you owe it to yourself to try something like with this some nice headphones, watching out for impedance. Even my old LG G7 and Meze 99 make me smile.
Yeah I'm not reading on a screen. If it was lighter than my reader, I might buy it, but I already know I would just gravitate back to the paper display eventually.
@@kipa_chu True. I also read comics and manga, and for that I use my Galaxy tablet, which I mainly have for art. I actually just finished reading a 7-volume manga. My hand hurts so much right now from holding that thing for five hours. I had a remarkable tablet at one point, but I sold it. It was just as heavy.
What is the use of this over a normal cheap tablet? - Stylus pen should have been integrated like a galaxy note pen. - note taking pen and audio ai conversion for students - an optional cover with an smaller e-ink screen that can use as dual screen - an FM radio inbuilt - a google smart assistant optional charging stand. - should be able to double as a smart google nest camera while on stand. - inbuilt ai in the reader to summarize or explain the concepts in the book being read.
Wherever you got your MQA info from was pretty far off the mark. MQA is an odd little mostly-lossless codec that uses a special scheme to encode higher frequencies with supposedly better accuracy but lossily.
It’s great that Sony is still making single purpose devices. This is one of those items where if I had enough disposable income I would pick up. I’d almost never use it but I love these sort of gadgets.
I ordered their Mudita Bell 2 clock and it arrived defective, as did the replacement clock. Even after returning the second clock the company refuses to give me a refund. The whole process has been frustrating and has cost me over $100. Avoid ordering from this company!
Yes this is correct, we have since removed all of their products from our store because they no longer respond to any business questions or customer service
Eww they can do better than this i had a Sony Erickson w380 and fells more like a walkman than this ugly powerbank, less screen more speaker maybe even a mic? Miss opportunity
Well it has a headphone jack for a wired connection, which for people who care, has better sound quality for their music. That's if you spend a little money for a good set of IEM's/headphones to get the most out of it. Basiclly for the person who really listens to their music, not as something playing music in the backround.
