If you want to find out more about the interior and exterior features of your car, this is the right place for you. I objectively talk about most (if not all) interior and exterior features of any vehicle I lay my hands on. I don't do test drives (yet) because I think you should do that yourself and determine whether the car is for you or not. I'm here only to let you know of the features and updates you get with your vehicle.

With that being said, I'll see you in my next video!

Cheers!

Sorry it's not what you expected. I don't actually do reviews, I do an overview of the vehicles features. I can't do a review on a car I haven't used or driven and have had some experience with. That's why I provide mostly information and let you, the viewer, make up your own mind if you think it's worth it or not. As for the test drive, go test drive it yourself and see if you like the way it rides/accelerates,stops etc. Because only THAT is a real world "review". Your own real world review for that matter. I appreciate your opinion though.

WARNING: A lot of us 2025 Carnival owners have experienced a nasty parasitic battery drain, rendering this family hauler useless. It'll literally die overnight, rinse and repeat. The dealership and Kia is clueless, and has not addressed this issue. My BRAND NEW Carnival SX-P has been at the dealership a week with no answers. Going into school season, this is ridiculous and unacceptable. Do not buy this car until Kia fixes this!! 200 miles on my car and I haven't even been able to use it. Well over $50k for a brick. Nice, Kia, nice.
@UrbanAutoAdventures
@UrbanAutoAdventures 2 месяца назад
That sounds like quite an issue actually. I'm really sorry you have to go through this. I'm sure you're pretty bummed out about the car too. It's a very nice ride but issues like that definitely give you a bad after-taste. That's why I try to never get a first gen type of car (in this case the hybrid version of the Carnival) /phone/tablet or pretty much anything technology-wise. They are usually the "test subjects" for future models and have many issues. I hope they at least have the decency to give you a loaner car and fix the issue soon!

@@UrbanAutoAdventures sure this is technically a first year refresh, but it only has a few tech updates and that's it. Nothing structurally or mechanically changed. This is actually extremely common to provide small tech updates on a yearly basis. This should not happen and it shouldn't have been a year to avoid, refresh or not.
@UrbanAutoAdventures
@UrbanAutoAdventures 2 месяца назад
@@colear3 Yeah, I know and I agree that small updates are essential to stay relevant in todays industry, no argument there. I was just saying about the Hybrid version intro to this year's model. Technically they shouldn't have ANY issues because it's not like the hybrid engines have just been invented. It also could be an isolated incident, I don't know honestly. Hopefully it gets resolved because this minivan literally checks a lot of boxes with a lot of people.
@colear3
@colear3 2 месяца назад
@@UrbanAutoAdventures totally. But the hybrid hasn't hit land in the US yet and I'm strictly referring to the V6 variant. Nothing mechanically changed. They did make minor changes to some components and shouldn't really be considered a mid cycle refresh because a lot of the changes were just cosmetic, and the tech changes were relatively simple additions and tweaks. It's basically a yearly update if you really think about it. Not rocket science! At any rate, the fact that a lot of us haven't been able to drive it yet after we bought it is shocking and ridiculous.
@UrbanAutoAdventures
@UrbanAutoAdventures 2 месяца назад
@@colear3 ooh. ok, I see. Now we're on the same page 😅. Yes, in that case I couldn't agree more. I think anyone caught in this predicament would be angry to say the least. Hey, i really hope they fix this so that you can enjoy it to its full potential (if you don't decide to jump ship beforehand)... I'd be curious to hear how they address and fix this issue so if you don't forget, keep me/us posted here. If it's a manufacturing mistake they'll probably make it a recall or something...

I really appreciate your tips for using my 23 Palisade, I also find that the consider taking a break notification is annoying and completely unnecessary and wish it could be turned off! I also noticed you drove mostly without hands using the steering feature, but I also attached a 1 lb wrist weight to the steering wheel so I can drive hands free on city streets and state highways with being nagged to replace may hands every 30 seconds! Is this something you have tried?
@UrbanAutoAdventures
@UrbanAutoAdventures 2 месяца назад
I'm glad I could be of help. the 1lbs weight approach is interesting. No i haven't done anything remotely close to that. Honestly I can't trust the self steering feature in a city driving circumstance which is why I rarely (almost never) use it in that occasion. I have tried in the very beginning but it almost ran up a curb once and I was like..."yeah, nah..." Open highway though, no problems (with the exception of the "take a break" annoyance). I don't think you can turn it off though. I've tried looking through the menu of the car and couldn't find anything.

@@UrbanAutoAdventures I actually find my self using the Lane Keeping Assist in my small town as long as there is double lines for the system to see! Having another set of eyes on the road makes me feel safer. I only wish the full HDA 2 wasn’t restricted to Interstate Highways, I also love the one touch lane change since I’m usually driving almost always hands free and watching that the steering system is active. I do wish Hyundai would put the centering arrow on the heads up display? That would be nice.
@UrbanAutoAdventures
@UrbanAutoAdventures 2 месяца назад
I see. Yeah if you drive on a road that has good visibility of the lines, it definitely works much better. I don't think Hyundai will incorporate the full HDA into local driving circumstances any time soon though. Too big of a liability for the company I think. Plus, I don't think we have a good enough road infrastructure to make it available on all roads. Sure, big city areas and suburbs are good, but out in the country, there may be some roads that aren't even on google maps :D. Yes I like the one touch lane change too. AND it's actually very intuitive. I've had speeding people just cut me off right before switching lanes, and it actually saw the speeding car approaching and stayed in the original lane to avoid an accident. Regarding the centering arrow on the HUD, I think that would be nice too

LoL. I know it sounds crazy but I actually like it. I have the same trim on the dash on my '23 palisade and I enjoy it. I honestly don't see a problem with wiping it down and keeping your car clean but I have seen TONS of car owners who don't give a damn about their interiors so I can see why this could be a nuisance. Also, I don't have kids, so maybe that's why I still like it and it doesn't bother me to wipe it down every so often. If I had to do it daily, oh yeah, I'd be pissed too.

@UrbanAutoAdventures reason some people agree about problems is they are like tumble weeds and agree with anything that seems popular. I like touch screen because it's faster to get to, but often in most cases I rather track pad as I can hold look at road and press either Sirius radio channels or category, or navigate menu, or navigation. But most complaints is not using enough to get used to it as I had learning curve along with family members. Too many things Honda listen to only reviews online like jobs complaints about volume nob which has steering wheel controls.

Run-flat tires are good for if you are driving mainly on local roads at low speeds. But when it comes to driving on the open road, at longer distances, trust me, you'd wish you had a spare tire.
