I remember back in 1969 riding my bicycle from Old Bethpage to Vet Powel's bait shop & we fished off the dock. Aa I grew older my friends & I would hang out at night in the park by the Library & party. Thanks for the video, great memories as well!
I have so many good memories of that harbor in the mid to late 70's. Much of it still looks familiar, but the fishing pier is way more fancy. Bait shop is gone too. Thanks for the video, It brought back a lot for me.
Yo if you are still into the hobby I like to fly at the same spot . Even got the off road permit,. Would like to meet and fly with you some day if you are interested. So much easier and safer with two people
Great footage ,brings back a lot memories.Use to hitchhike to fire island ( Robert Moses state park) after summer school in the mid 60's. The parking lot you are in I don't think existed back than. When I was older enough to drive I never got off the causeway after the drawbridge just straight on to the state park. Thank you.
