I built the black and gold one, took me 2 hours to do. The legs were put together correctly but all 4 front legs crumble under the weight of this thing. Currently trying to find a solution to this but currently thinking of super glueing the joints.

Look up Trumpsters transformers bumblebee model kits they make a soundwave starscream and a few others from the movie but they're not as big as this one though
@@blackandredbuilds I just finished with steps 19-23 last night. So now I have a complete leg.... I underestimated how big this thing was gonna be. Gonna have to build an addition onto my house just for this bloke 🤣
Thank you for your video 🤗. I bought this kit and also the connection kit between this model and the night city. When they are connected, the motor is not as fast as in your video. But first I will build the pin ball.

I personally think they missed out on having the gem on the back of the butterfly glowing too. I still like it and just ordered the blue one to add to my growing rokr collection.
The rokr table feels empty. I wish it had more corridors for the ball to travel. Pinball without slingshot is not pinball imo. And perhaps the angle of the table should be decreased to reduce the speed of the ball. I find is too fast
Glad I found this comparison between the two. I was leaning towards the DIY Star Wars because of the few dollars less but now the few extra dollars is well worth the Rokr Pinball Machine. Thank you for sharing this video.
Thank you. I am about to start doing this one and found this video when I was wondering if i needed glue. Goes t look like it though unless buts need to be glued down at the end. Looking forward to it.
Great vid... Agree from what it looks the motor is way too fast but that's not the point as you want to see the Mechanics on this thing which means you probably want the manual engagement
Thanks so much. Since they designed this marble run to connect with their Night City marble run, the motor has to operate both at the same time. I think that's why it's so powerful. It's definitely better to operate this one manually.
By the way, perhaps you could record a short gameplay of this flipper? There are a lot of videos from rokr, but of this one you're the only one who has recorded anything. I'm considering it myself, perhaps it would be even more interesting with a slight redesign using an arduino. hmm
I still want to dump all this new-fangled voodoo they do with electronics now-a-days and go back to using relay-logic circuits for the guts of my Pinball machines.
I think what you have there is a knock off someone did to make money off of Rokr success? Might explain why it was hard to find. Also . if ignore the finish details and squint the machines are identical.

I can't really remember how long this particular model took, but probably around 4-5 hours. The only glue I used was on the pieces that wrap over the shoulders. They didn't quite fit, so I glued one side down on both shoulders. And use super glue (CA glue), not the glue provided. It's not that difficult to assemble, so you'll be fine.
I'm from the UK and when I started this subscription it was advertised at 99pence per issue, I took the premium option, after 3 months the subscription rose to £35 another 3 months after that it is now £77! Feel like fanhome is scamming all it's customers, now I want to cancel but I don't at the same time because I just want to complete the build.
It took me 5 hours, but that's with filming. So it depends on your experience with these types of models. The company suggests 5 - 6 hours assembly time.

Honestly for slightly more than the price of this tabletop, you could buy a vintage home pinball machine (3/4 scale) like Big Top by Wico, Alive! by Brunswick or even Star Explorer by Consolidated Industries Co.
There's a lot of variables to the price. Standard vs Premium build, taxes and shipping cost, where you live. I will say these large scale models usually cost around $1500 - $2000.
Great video! I've just ordered one and am excited to assemble it. Try using an old USB-A to USB-C cable with one of the ancient power adapters that take forever to charge your phone. If the motor gets less power then it will run slower.
I just ordered Optimus from Fanhome last night. Everything appears to be in order. When I go to Fanhome he is available as well as the DeLorean. My account shows him being prepared for first shipment. You and Wayne are giving me unnecessary cancelation stress.
