Hey, I’m Yesenia & I plan elevated travel experiences for honeymooners, couples, & groups. Follow my channel for insight on all my personal travel experiences, tips, and recommendations!
Thank you for your video! I know there are 2 Corendon resorts next to each other - Mangrove and Rif Mangrove. I am planning a trip for Oct and cant decide btwn the 2.
Of course! It seems like the RIF resort caters more to rest and relaxation, whereas the Mangrove is a bit more lively and family-friendly. I suppose it'll depend on what vibe you're looking for. The plus side of staying at the RIF though, is that you'll automatically get access to the Mangrove resort so it'll essentially be a two-for-one deal!
Question, did you by any chance venture out to the beach that is closest? To my knowledge it was suggested Condado beach was closest but is ranked one of the most dangerous in regards to rip currents & choppy waters in general. Would you suggest any other beaches? I’m traveling with a 14 year old as well as my grandma so not necessarily avid swimmers- we want calm waters but don’t mind if the beach is busy! I’ve looked into Culebra and we may do a ferry ride from Cieba out there but wanted to know better options that are closer to the hotel.
Hey! I didn't actually go on the beach, I just drove past it on the shuttle. Many guests did seem to visit, the waters looked a bit rocky from where I could see, but again so many people went there, that it may be worth it to just visit to lounge and chill. The only beaches I've been to in PR were in Luquillo, which is about a 50-minute drive, but they were beautiful!!! So it may be worth considering.
I have already planned a trip in November to stay here. I was curious. Do I need a power converter coming from the US? I read that it just depends on the resort you stay in when it comes to European vs. US plug ins in Curacao.
@@K_Kenya They do have USB ports that you can use to charge your phone, but it doesn't charge as fast as if you used a plug, so yeah I definitely recommend bringing the adaptor.
Hi! My boyfriend and I are considering this resort for a June 2024 trip. It sounds like there's music at the sunrise pool during the day? I know there are some shows at night--does the resort ever have any live music into the evening independent of a show? Do people hang out at night after the shows are over? We are 30 and like to have an after dinner drink before bed!
Hi! I definitely think this resort is a great option to consider. When I was there, they had various entertainment options. The sunrise pool usually does have music in the day. It isn't anything super loud, like a DJ, but they have speakers around to enjoy some songs. All the nights I stayed they seemed to have various entertainment options that culminated with a show at the end, and the show always took place in different areas of the resort. People always hung out after the show in the bar that's just below the lobby, so you can definitely get your after-show drinks there!
@@craftedjourneysco thank you so much! we typically like to go to bed early on vacation (like 10:30) because we like to make the most of the day! nice to know there is some activity into the evening. hopefully we can make some friends! we also are looking at being there over july 4th. good to know there's a show!
@@madelinemorr4380 no problem! They really went ALL out with their show on July 4th. There was a barbecue, live music, a fire show. I have no doubt you'll enjoy it!
Hey, just booked this. What month did you go? Nornally go adults only but decided to give this ago, is there a lot of family’s there? I know it’s a family hotel but is it mainly family? Also how many a la cartes can you book as I can’t seem to find it anywhere
Hi! I went in December 2023, for NYE. At that time there were A LOT of families, which I figure makes sense due to the holiday and the fact that kids were off from school. So depending on the dates you're going, there may be less families present. Also, there are 8 a la carte restaurants that require reservations. The cuisine ranges from Japanese to Italian. When you check-in, you get a QR code, that gives you access to the direct hotel "app", where you can book your reservations.
@@craftedjourneysco hi thanks for the reply! So I’m going in May should be less busy as not holidays? How many entry’s to a la cartes was you aloud? Is it unlimited or limited? Secondly as you went in a busy period how hard did you find it to make reservations
@@azzamehmet You should be good to go then, there aren't any major holiday breaks in May, so I don't see there being tons of families there. You can make as many reservations as you'd like, as long as there's availability. For me, I was unable to get a reservation at all, but again it was because it was New Years Eve, and it was packed. I suggest trying to make your reservations in advance, and sometimes it also helps to go straight to the service desk, because they may be able to find availability that is not popping up on the app.
Great video and information Yesenia! (I read your necklace.) My wife and I are travelling there tomorrow morning for 5 days! I wish we would have known about you before but St. Lucia, St. Thomas, Aruba, Bahamas, and more will be in our future. I just signed up on your site. So we hope to work with you then. Your video has made me even more excited to get there!! Keep it up. I also subscribed. Talk to you soon!
