Solo is killer, senses come alive, it is just you and the trail, if you get into a pickel you typically come out the stronger when you make a good decision. So gratifying. Keep up the good vids. ❤
Good job on the edits by double backing on the GP shots then endinig each clip. Have done similar edits myself on my YT channel too. Good job with the intro, the information on the Trail you were hiking and the hike, the lake and return. I just subscribed, lets get you up to 1k subscribers soon. Cheers 🎉🎉 Another Avid outdoorsman hiker....😊
Bubby ives been training like crazy am 75 will be 76 but nothing hurts am airborne infantry combat veteran I don't expect to keep up without but it will be such a consolation to know fellow veterans are on the trail, we would died for each other absolutely no doubt about it, knowing you guys are out there I will never feel alone.
Thanks for the information! I wasn’t using a drone but i do plan on getting one in the future so that’s good to know🤙. I knew about national parks but always thought you could fly them in a wilderness area. In any case, thank you for watching and reaching out!!!😎
Hi there! In this video my friend was wearing Hoka running shoes. He’s now rocking some Altra Lone Peak trail runners. I wear Merril Moab’s without the ankle support. I personally prefer some more durability in my foot wear🤙
That was a nice big longnose gar. There are no alligator gar in Virginia. The alligator gar has a short snout and it's habitat is mainly in the Mississippi watershed and in the southwest Gulf states.
Thanks for sharing your video. I’m all about hiking your own hike so do whatever you like … I like to carry less stuff around with me and focus on comfort: those pads are not fun to sleep on… I cut off 2/3s of one of the fold pieces of a sit pad and carry nicer pad. Don’t know what was all in your pack but i carry 40 liters for 5 days … if you don’t already … go through your pack when you get home and get rid of the stuff you didn’t use or you could split use.. good stuff anyways.
Great advice! 40 liters for a five day trip is really good! I’m trying to get there one day. I’ll be hiking the Appalachian Trail next year so I’m trying to be as minimum as possible. I brought a lot of things on this trip I most certainly won’t be bringing on the AT. Thanks for the advice and thanks for watching!!🙌🤙
Once I've found a log that's 20 cm in diameter and 6m long. Me and my friend jaws just dropped. It was on small island on water reservoir. I've noticed lot of pine trees there have covered bark in resin.
Great vid! Thanks for sharing, I wish I would’ve seen it sooner. Was out this pm looking for resin wood, aka fat wood. I found a couple of small pieces off some dead pine tree but nothing like your monster piece! I’ll definitely do the fat wood God call next time I’m out in the woods. You got a new subie…
I hope you end up finding some big pieces! Haha yah the fat wood god call always helps😂 I’m glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching and subscribing 🙌
The color is Dark Aquatic/Metallic Gunmetal! I’m not sure if they still have this color but I love it. Really caught my eye the first time I saw it in person
@@mountainbond1743 Haha. I literally just put the deposit down on a Roscoe 8 in Mulsanne Blue. For 2023 they didn't have Dark Aquatic. Happy trails, literally.
@@mroctober3657 that color looks pretty sweet tho! I’d definitely rock that. Thanks for commenting and happy trails! Hope you enjoy your new ride when it comes in🤙
Excellent advice, also if it were cut down a long time ago the trunk left above ground would also be infused with tons of sap/ terpene/ fatwood. Thanks for the adventure my friend
Check out False Cape State Park! I have been yet but you can camp on the beach. I’ve heard nothing but great things about it. Another one to check out is First Landing State Park. I’ve been there but never camped there. Great place
I've never understood how people struggle to find this stuff. Look for some dead trees. Gravity based low points. Look for dead pine, spruce trees. Search for sap covered end, cut. Tah dah You can even make your own if you're patient want to wait a handful of years
Great video! I hope your hammock is serving you well and you're getting plenty of good nights sleep! 1:31 - Good tip! Another thing you can do is put a few twists in your tree strap before feeding it into your cinch buckle. It makes the straps into a kind of twist/spiral, that naturally makes the water drip off. The drip lines work just as well - just another method of staying dry.
Thank you! Me and my good friend both have your hammocks and we love them! I always recommend your brand👍 Thanks for the tip! I went ahead and pinned your comment so other people can see as well. Thank you for watching and reaching out!
