Yes. For MHD ENET it is enough to connect the phone to the adapter using cable or Wifi and disable mobile data transmission. No additional configuration is needed.

Love the video. I have the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and have the Enet cable with the WIFI adapter. Tried your method of disabling WIFI/Data transmission and enabling Ethernet Tethering and still can't get connected. Any suggestions?
Same exact phone, I can't get ethernet to work with ProTool either. Cant "save" the ethernet settings in the phone configuration of "More connection settings" in the Android menu. Did you figure it out yet?

It depends on your needs what app is better for you. Bimmer-tool is more for diagnostics and servicing but does not support coding. There are no ENET cables with USB-C plug. You need additional USB-C to ethernet adapter compatible with android. Or better buy ENET-Wifi adapter.

@@piotrblonkowski7624 Spróbuj poszukać i włączyć w ustawieniach telefonu funkcję 'OTG'. Czerwona lampka sygnalizuje jedynie że jest zasilanie. Po podłączeniu kabla telefon powinien zareagować, tzn. zapytać jaką aplikację uruchomić. Dopiero wtedy połączenie będzie możliwe. W razie problemów Menu > zgłoś problem.
Jasne. Ale generalnie wygląda to tak samo. Trzeba wyłączyć komórkową transmisję danych lub włączyć tryb samolotowy, połączyć telefon z WiFi adaptera i w aplikacji wybrać połączenie Wifi/Enet. To wszystko.
Zakupiłem carista wraz z kodem do bimmertool w pełnej wersji i po sparowaniu z telefonem aplikacja nie łączy się, czy miałbyś jakiś pomysł dlaczego tak się dzieje?
You can reset adapations after oil chnage, but you will have to perform adaptation drive. See blog.fcpeuro.com/how-to-reset-relearn-e90-bmw-automatic-transmission-adaptations-zf6 If you have no proper conditions to perform adaptation drive, better not to reset adaptations.

Viecar - nie. Vgate - tak, ale są podróbki tego adaptera z którymi są problemy. Konnwei 901/902, Carista, Unicar USCI-2000, Veepeak BLE będą działały prawidłowo. Z serią F działają także adaptery ENET jak modBmw lub MHD Enet. Wersja n iOS w bliżej nieokreślonej przyszłości.

I have this app but have a cheap Bluetooth adapter and it doesn't recognise a lot of the functions/values. Any suggestions for a decent adaptor that doesn't cost too much?
Recommended adapters are listed on our GP page. However functions available may depend on your BMW model and year. Send us an email - use Report Problem option in the app and I will advise what adapter will be suitable for your car.
Try to turn the phone off and on. Then make sure you selected Bluetooth connection and chose your Carista adapter. Set adapter type to ELM327 and protocol KWP2000. Use 'Report problem' option if you still have issues.
You can clear all engine errors. Adaptations reset is not possible yet. Send me please a message from the app (Report a problem) and I'll check if adaptations reset is possible. Just incude your engine ECU name.
Hi Pawel, I just bought this to monitor/regen DPF and love it. It works fine with my ELM adaptor - is there any need to get a different one like the Carista one here?
Some cheap adapters may not work, break connection or cause lights on instrument cluster to show up. If you don't experience such issues you don't need anything else.
Are there any fault codes in engine or CAS? I may be DME-CAS synchronization issue. Some poor quality adapters may cause this. If this is indeed CAS-DME synchronization problem it can be fixed by running CAS-DME synchronization service function . Send me a mail (you find it on google play site).
There is a fault code 4a63. Which is exactly that I think (immobiliser). I will try to perform this CAS calibration again. It happened after I did that. I don't know why I did it in first place... :)
@@pawewrobel3897 I try to do the calibration again but no success. It doesn't recognize neither of the two keys. Turns but cannot start. Fault code is still active and I cannot erase it
@@eminem8612 If calibration with btool desn't help, find someone who has inpa INPA. Instructions are here: bimmerguide.de/ews-cas-abgleich/ Alternatively you can try another adapter. If it happened once it may be happening all the time. Also make sure you do the following: ignition on, clear fault codes, run CAS-DME synchronization, close app, ignition off, start engine.
@@pawewrobel3897 it didn't help. I suspect my adapter is shit :) called a guy who fixed it in 2 minutes. The CAS module and engine module had lost communication.

Helo, yes you can do both kind of reset in e-series - gearbox learning function reset and adaptations reset which you do after gearbox repair or oil replacement.

@@tomaszm6474 Tak, auto posiada DPF. 'X' oznacza że funkcja nie jest aktywna w danym momencie, tzn regeneracja nie jest aktualnie zaplanowana/aktywna. Po wymuszeniu regeneracji lub gdy sterownik silnika zaplanuje regenerację wówczas pojawi się zielony znaczek 'V'
