it was good to meet you today Vinnie. awesome review too. it would be interesting to compare the 1200 with the 900 given they're about 5k less with the same beauty and refinement.
@@richardhague801 nice to meet you today aswell mate! Yeah itd be nice to get my hands on a new 900 to do a comparo the new 900 is quite improbed compared to the thruxton we have in the shop
Aussie here grabbing one of these from a fz1n just to run around with, these bikes always interested me since they seem to have fair bit of go for a 250 but look nice and sound good too!
Nice video. I got my Classic 350 Signals (marsh grey) because: 1. ❤at first sight 2. Very affordable 3. Wonderful to ride, so much enjoyment. And yes, definitely a time machine! And it sounds pleasing to the ear.
I had one just like that it was fast on drag strip zx11 is fast as hell wheelie on 3 gear not even moder bikes are abel to fast beast of 90s was a spike for hyabusa gen 1 and black bird gen 1
Hi Vinnie , love your enthusiasm but you do like the sound of your own voice a bit mate. I've scanned the video a few times , did you even mention or expand on the cruise control ? I couldn't find it ? Love the bike though .
@@EMILIONwish I have used a Mussari exhaust on this bike but there are many options as long as you dont get a really cheaply made one the sound will be nice. Ypu dont have to spend heaps of money but dont get the cheapest option
About 7:10 he pulls. But his commentary is worth listening to! This is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. All bikes now have 100mph graphics when most of them would be very dangerous at those speeds. I think used long time owners have low miles on this beast because is faster than most riders can handle: it’s a bonafide death machine 😅🎉😂.
07:08: from an e-mail sent me by DNA Sales Department "Regarding our company, we do not collaborate with S&S Cycle. As a result , they do not sell our products It seems that they have created a 100% copy of the DNA High Performance Filter."
i think the high bhp race rep jap bikes have had their day... these may be slower in comparison...but they have character.. and easier to personalise.. more fun..
I think people buy them largely because they look cool, and, most importantly, offer tremendous value compared to the competition.. Triumph's twins are beautiful machines, but priced out of reach for many riders. The RE is about 80% of a Triumph in performance and build quality, at about 50% of the price. For many riders, that's hard to beat. But for me, they're too heavy (so are the Triumph twins) and they need a bit more power. If they could coax the engine up to about 60Hp and drop about 40 lbs. off the weight, they'd literally own the entire retro parallel twin segment. The old British twins rarely broke 400lbs weight, and these bikes today are closer to 500. That's just unacceptable. I value handling and response over acceleration, so I bought a Triumph Speed 400. It weighs about 370lb. wet, and is easy to control and a blast to ride. Only 40 HP, but with 100lb less weight, it's close in acceleration to the Interceptor.
... there's no need to shout ! I own an Interceptor, but there is so much work to do to bring them to a good standard ... what comes from the factory is, sorry to say, not really worth the money. My first bike in 1976 was a Redditch bult Constellation 700 from 1959. This was a much better bike. Ive rode a few 100.000 of kilometres on two wheels since I've started in 1976, most on 4-cilinders with around 100 PS or more. The 650 would be my last bike in that life ... and they is what I've awaited ... but not more
I have fun on them. Exhausts and an air filter upgrade was all i found it needed ive ridden much better specced and more powerful bikes. I still love these enfields to bits. Always fun to take out for a good old fasioned thrash
@roadblastmedia you don't know what Blasphemy is...?? Using God's name in vain... Not very becoming and insulting to those of us who believe...and there is a few of us out here...so..you shouldn't alienate alot of your audience...just a tip..that's all..STAY UPRIGHT..!!😁
@@artadrians ohh righto sorry about that mate no offence intended My country is not very religous and everyone i grew up with was not religous at all so its intergrated in our country as standard speech slang words if you know what I mean. Each to their own
Hay mate Paul from Australia just watched your review on the VTR 250 , “ I know it was done 2 years ago “ , anyway I now live the the Cairns area of Australia ( for the winter) which doesn’t exist up here 😂😂😂, so thinking of buying a VTR250 to use while I’m up here a few months off the year .
Have had a few customers who have owned over a year all still love their bikes! Also we have not had one break down or have any problems yet just tyres and servicing one customer even loved theirs so much they traded it in and upgraded to the explore model
@@jessicalee5487 yeah the Ktms have a couple parts that are a bit different CF use a less agressive cam it makes less power but is more reliable i think the ktm variants are around 110hp these are 95
Haven’t seen ya for a while. All ok? I have a new bike a green Kawasaki Z650RS. It’s so much better than anything Royal Enfield put out. I sold my Himalayan it was becoming to unreliable and RE only allow two rows on its roadside assist. I used both of those.
Yeah mate all okay just been working at the motorbike shop plus now owning a home have much less time to spend making bike videos plus spending all week working on talking about and selling them definately takes away the fun a wee bit still love it though! And thats awesome mate the Z 650RS is a real nice bike ive ridden the 900 I thought it was lovely.
A bit late to your video, but I love mine. I picked it up as an abandoned cafe racer project. The guy had only started to fit a tail tidy and after market indicators. It's done around 104,000km and runs pretty well. Carbs need a clean and the cooling system needs a clean out, but it's a great fun bike to ride.
I swear you are the most sensible rider and RU-vidr and whatever you talk about in your videos makes totally sense. This is your second video I’ve watched. I’m actually moving to New Zealand this year for my master’s degree and since I’m a rider myself I had a few bikes in my mind, KTM 390 Duke, KTM RC 390, and Kawasaki Vulcan 650. Since I’ve had bad back and neck issues,, I won’t be getting RC 390 or any other sports bike as you suggested. I want to get a motorbike for the daily commute. Can one ride a bike throughout the year taking weather conditions into consideration? Would love to ride with you one day. New subscriber here. Keep making such awesome videos.
After watching your video I just had to buy one! It arrived today, along with the DNA air filter, and I already installed them. Ohhhhhh maaaan, it completely changed the bike! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! It sounds AMAZING!!! I agree with the placebo effect but I have just riden it for a couple of miles. Yet to be properly tested but darn, now everyone hears me coming! 1000 thanks!!! 🙌🙌🙌😁😁😁
PS the 650 version ended up in the Deauville. I had the 700 version for a while. Also bulletproof. Extended Pannier covers and taller Givi screen. Very nice solo touring bike. Shaft drive a bonus as well. A mechanic at my favourite bike shop in the Adelaide hills, which also served coffee and snacks, saw me pull up one Sunday morning, and told me that an owner of a Deauville had put it in for a 200,000klm service, fearing the worst. Internally it was still perfect. Quality engineering and durability. Just routine maintenance was needed.
My ex thought she’d start on a LAMS Cruiser. Too big and heavy. Sold it and I recommended a VTR250. Much easier to handle, but she lost interest. I used to take for a fang around the Adelaide hills just to keep it all together. I’m a very experienced rider and even though 195cm and 90kg, it was a blast. Solid 41mm forks and for what it was, an ideal learner bike. Great fuel economy too. Around 3l/100klm. For a shorter and lighter rider, ideal. It was punchy enough down low and you could rev it all the way to redline for a decent buzz. Wish they’d made a 500 from this design. The 650 version was just not sporty enough. A mini monster of 500cc would have filled a real niche and taken it right up to the Dukes. Make it slightly larger and a cafe racer style = winner.
It reminds me a lot of my old GTR1000 - similar bike just even more power. I have an FJR1300 now which is again very similar but also very civilized and comfortable. Once you get onto bikes like this you don't really want to go back to anything else anymore, they are bona fide cruise missles and if you master riding these you can ride anything with utter confidence.
The looks are definitely what drew me to the bike. I've always liked classic looking bikes and the new triumph Bonnies. But upgrading from a Grom I was looking at a bit of everything. Dad showed me a picture of the interceptor he saw at my local dealership, and I said Yeah....yeah that's the one. A few days later I went home with me. Now has a MK India design Cafe Racer fairing kit on it now.
