Hi, the plugin offers many advantages over Native Revit. While Native Revit automates some tasks, it has limitations (besides UI/UX challenges). In contrast, Precast Concrete provides extensive functionality in design and drafting. The workflow includes creating reusable configurations across projects. Moreover, you can add structural connections only under specific conditions (e.g., column/framing joins). Additionally, you can incorporate structural connections that are automatically placed only when specific conditions are met (e.g., column/framing joins). There are even more advantages compared to Native Revit. If you'd like more information, feel free to contact us, and we can arrange a demo for you.
Hello! A video on column corbels will be coming soon ;) In the meantime, feel free to check out the technical documentation on this topic: docs.agacad.com/3d-modeling-and-design/precast-concrete/column-reinforcement/rebar-configurations-corbel
There is a way to add rebar at beam supports. Video about this topic is coming in the near future. Meanwhile, you can find more information in the following link: docs.agacad.com/3d-modeling-and-design/precast-concrete/beam-reinforcement/rebar-configurations-support
Hi, the Truss tab still exists in the menu but appears hidden in your current product version. Check out this video (starting from 2:08) for a guide on how to unhide it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YsjJHoQBzTU.htmlsi=3ILgTMKMgmKrHDdY&t=127

Hi, I donwloaded the plugin "T4R Document trial" to test the smart assemblies. But in your example it automatically updates all the same assemblies when the primary is changed. In my project is doesn't... Am I missing something? Besides you say Revit doesn't create a new assembly type... But it does in your example... It changes from Casework 1 to 3. In my project the new type is also created but the secondary assemblies don't update automatically... Working in Revit 2024
Hi, sorry for the late reply. You are referring to a dynamic update. You can achieve this by following the instructions here: docs.agacad.com/common-for-several-products/smart-assemblies/dynamic-smart-assemblies-update

Hi, in the Opening Framing configurations, go to the settings of the selected opening (Window, Door, etc.) and open Header Settings. Make sure that the box 'Define Depth by Layer Thickness' is ticked. Then save the configuration and re-Frame the wall. Hope that helps! If more assistance is needed on this, reach out to helpdesk@agacad[dot]com.
Thank you very much, bein a revit user since longtime, i discovered the thing that i needed to, it helps me accelerat the documentation, annotation and others steps of the projet.
Glad to hear it! FWIW to help new users get started more easily, we recently implemented 2 modes for Smart Documentation: Basic mode & Advanced mode. You can read more about them here agacad.com/blog/smart-documentation-new-ui-advanced-basic-mode-sample-configurations#2 As you use it going forward, any feedback you may have would be very much appreciated. Cheers!
Righto, just showing how it works in this video. For more details, see our Wall Framing tutorial series ru-vid.com/group/PLzDqpnw6ReoOVI6kbLl71ZQLTPbZ0vRkd
Hello! I was wondering if your system is capable of generating floor elements as well? For instance, like a set of prefab wood flooring separated installed on top, rather than an entire HSB floor. Thanks!
We offer a paid trial of Curtain Walls & Panels. Includes sample project + specialized families + configurations + training time. Please contact us via the form on the product page agacad.com/products/curtain-walls
Sure. In the video, we show how to add girders AND the collar joists. You would need to frame another roof (horizontal, without slopes) for collar joists. And the configuration for them is very simple - keep only the Joists (no Rim Joist, no Bridgings etc). FWIW, collar joists are shown at this point in the video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1yfKsdCu-F8.html Thanks for watching!
so create two roofs and frame them both? Shouldn't you simply be able to just create collar ties. I don't need the girders, just the ties. So you don't really show ties alone. And all you do is say you're going to frame the roof with collar ties, but don't show the details😕
@@hu5tle- Yes, you should create 2 roofs: a roof for sloped joists and another horizontal roof for collar joists (the roofs created in Revit can be seen from 19:00). If you don't need the girders, simply don't add them, they are not a must. We just demonstrated the process using girders as one of many possible framing examples. But if you don't need them, then don't add them. :) This video does not show the details (like the settings in the configuration, etc.) because its purpose is to demonstrate the possibilities. Of course, we help our clients to get familiar with all needed details and workflows during individual training sessions. If you need help with those details, contact us at helpdesk@agacad[dot]com
hi. can we split multiple walls by a reference line ...in floor plan. not 3d view. I mean like how we use trim command, we can use a line as a cutting boundary
Hello, Walls can be split using selected or all reference planes (not lines). You can explore wall split options in the link below :docs.agacad.com/common-for-several-products/smart-walls/split-walls
When trying to install Smart Documentation, the following message appears: "Installation Error". I use Revit 2021. Could you help me with what this could be?
In the configration window of the smart dimension, I have in the lift list only one face Base details and one of each elements, How can I add more in this list?
Families are included in our sample projects. Here are versions 2023-2021 docs.agacad.com/3d-modeling-and-design/mep-hangers For v.2018, reach out to us helpdesk@agacad[dot]com
This is an excellent tool for architecture. For those who don't understand the value. This tool, and tools like it, are made to provide a more detailed drawing which helps complete a project drawing with less effort and in a timely manor, but in no way shape or form should be considered a truss engineering tool! A truss manufacturer will consider the design element for exposed trusses in an effort to conform to an architectural design, but obviously the structural calculation would have to meet the engineering standard.
Fams are included in our sample projects. Here are versions 2023-2021 docs.agacad.com/3d-modeling-and-design/mep-hangers For v.2020, please write us helpdesk@agacad[dot]com

Good morning, are these frames only architectural or do they have structural features? like, if i export to FEM Software can it "see" the mullion as pillars? Thanks in advance
Hi, I'm currently working on an similar revit application case for Revit assembly changement, but i get stuck to switch assemblies for the right one. Can you help me please?
truth said - it's very not user friendly software, absolutely unintuitive, time consuming - not time saving, unprecise, easy to make errors piece os software I'm brutally honest, i really don't like this software. Yes, I am using it at work.
At the time this video was made, all the tools shown could be purchased individually or as one bundle. Since then, however, the only one that can be purchased individually is Excel2R agacad.com/products/excel2r Most of the others seen in this video have been made part of our 2D documentation plugin called Smart Documentation agacad.com/products/smart-documentation And the 3 plugins seen in this video as free are still free.
We would show how to set configurations during a personal training session. If interested in reading about dimensioning structural rebar with our plugin, here are instructions docs.agacad.com/common-for-several-products/smart-dimensions/structural-rebar Thanks for your interest!
If a selected element doesn't have a Mark value assigned, you get an error message trying to Create Assemblies. All you need to do is type in any Mark value for that Revit element. The Create Assemblies command will then work. Thanks for watching!
PSA The Smart Assemblies add-in for Revit shown in this video has been incorporated into our add-in called Agacad Smart Documentation agacad.com/products/smart-documentation
Yes, but the name of the assembly has still been changed, it would make a mess with names if you forget to change it back. 2:33 "Casework 1" 3:28 "Casework 3". Can the name of the assembly remain the same?
