Nice T. I miss the heck out of my 23T. I had a 396 BBC dual quad tunnel hooked up to a TH350 trans and a '57 Pontiac rearend with 3:50 gears. It had (and needed) functional wheelie bars with the 36 inches worth of Mickey Thompson tires across the back. It was a runner.
Hello Sarah. These follow up videos are primarily for those in our classic car community. A full description of Retrofest 2024 (including Ms Retrofest) was included in the promo video of the May 24 - 26th event. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0lh25py8ylc.html Thank you.
My best friend in HS had a 51 Merc coupe. This is not a 51, but a 50 or 49. We often double dated in his 51 merc. The back seat was huge! I called it a "motel room on wheels".
Thanks for the great video David. We always enjoy talking to you at the car shows. Steve and I are very proud of what we accomplished. We love to show the car and meet new people. See you at the next show. Hi Martin .
Steve is my brother's nephew and he used to own this car when it was a dragster. This car had been completely stripped out and Steve and his Dad completely rebuilt this car and put it back on the road. They certainly did a beautiful job!
That story is wrong - Packard president Nance was incompetent. He moved transmissions and the foundry out of the grand ave plant which cost $20 m for nothing. Then he moved production to the old briggs plant when Chrysler bought Briggs on a consultants advice. Grant Ave could make 200K cars a year. The Packard VP of production since 1912 quit because of that decision and they never got volume again.
My Dad bought one for our Family Car . Ours had a little door on the side. I have a video of us arriving at a family get together. Video shows driving up and Dad opening the front and we all got out ... Along with everyone else at the gathering that entered through the side door (off camera) and exiting the front. 😂 About 18-20 people exiting that little car ... Taken about 1958 in Ohio USA ... Thanks for the memories
I have gone for several rides in Claude's beauties as I am his sister and being picked up by him has been a blast!! so many people have stopped to admire them and converse with Claude. They sure are eye-catchers...
