Nice video except the title is misleading. It only showed installing the GPS to the mounting system and NOT installing the GPS to the RT Limited. Granted it isn't his bike but this video doesn't help me installing the actual GPS System (wiring harness, etc) to my RT Limited.

This year my friend & I will plan a trip to do a 1200 /1300 mile loop thru Chibougamau starting out of Saint .Michael -Des Saints, Never been on that part of trail 93 and west side of trail 83.We have done most of the central and East sides of Quebec, Hopefully we will catch up will you Sledaddicz's somewhere on the trails this season .Be safe out there and pray for lots of snow ,Later Skip

The changing of the jets was a simple trick dealers did for more speed when racing (lakes) however with the higher fuel flow if you try to trail ride at slow speeds the spark plugs will foul up and you will have a 2 cylinder engine and eventually a 1 cylinder engine, usually you will find one particular cylinder that will always foul the plug first so you will know which plug to change out first. It's actually a pain in the ass and some Mach owners went back to stock jets after a while..ask me how I know lol

For a $100 part for 23-24 sleds just load the BRP go onto the module and let’s have BRP go gps without a phone.. Soo stupid. It’s gonna be a junky base gps that won’t work in areas that arnt huge mapped trail areas I’m sure anyways. Sad brp 10 years later still has the shottiest gauge when compared to Polaris and Arctic cat. Sad really. The gauge looks pretty and has big numbers but it is still useless..

Me and 3 buddies bought these Cardo Packtalk Bold units 3 years ago and I have to say, we aren’t that happy with them. The features and bells and whistles on these are great. In the winter cold, three of us are getting about 7 hrs use ( talking only, not used to play music) but the fourth is only getting about 4 hrs use before his battery dies since day 1. Now the bad part, the range on these seems to be about 100 meters. Beyond that, they start cutting out and then disconnect. Once disconnected, I’ve even had one buddy have to pull within 20 feet of me before the units reconnected. I realize there are trees, hills and obstacles in the way but I was hoping the range would be at least 1/2 km. We updated the firmware but no difference. :(.

Thanks for the review, can't help but notice you wear glasses as do I, any problems fogging? That said it is hands down the best helmet I have used and I usually try a new helmet every year until I purchased the Oxygen.

Unfortunately I don't wear glasses when I ride. I wear contacts for sledding. That being said our buddy Andrew wears glasses and just keeps his visor slightly cracked on the oxygen for the first minute or two of riding until the temperatures climatize and then he can close his visor without his glasses fogging. Cheers, Mike

Make sure the bolts on the mounting brackets don’t stick up too high or you will not get it to clamp in . I got larger bolts from the Jig plate manufacturer and they were longer for more thread grabbing but stuck up to high so it would not clamp down properly

New sled shocks have to be removed and sent to your local shock "guru" for rebuild and perhaps revalve at the end of the season. The skidoo/kyb oil is not very good and does not seem to last. I bet that is what is wrong with your smart shocks.

My 23 XRS 850 Renegade I had smart shocks on that machine. The problem was they never ever worked from day one. I only took it on trips last year so dealers in Quebec couldn't fix it my local dealer thought they had it fixed went back up to Quebec and they still didn't work 2000 miles on a brand new snowmobile and it was on full stiff the whole entire time they replace the whole entire smart shock system. I guess that fixed it after I traded it in. Never got to experience the smart shocks ride!

I know lots of guys with SS going soft. A couple guys around the 1500km mark a couple more around the 2500km mark. I think because of the rough trail conditions this season smart shoxs are not holding up to the punishment. IMO SS and the fancy gauge are overpriced and unreliable

I rode 2 858's at the end of March in Gimli Mb. The first one was a Riot 858. The first and most noticeable thing was the engine vibration in the handlebars and the vibration at you feet. The Riot rode like a buckboard, it really kicked back on the bumps and it wouldn't turn at all. I know this possibly the setup. Also the gauge was a little square type probably off the atv line and it was terrible, could hardly see the display at 60 kph. I then jumped on a ZR 129 and it rode way better then the Riot and it would turn and handle great. The handlebar and foot vibration was same as the Riot. It had the new display and it looked and worked great. The vibration was concerning because after we got off you feet had a tingle from the vibration. I was not the only person on the test drive that commented on the engine vibration. The 858 pulled hard as it should. On a note there was 6 of us on the test drive and I was fifth, you could really smell raw unburnt fuel smell being in the rear. Possibly more mapping to be done on calibration.

@@sledaddicz The helmet ships with 40mm JBL speakers. The Cardo website says the Edge system includes 40mm JBL speakers. I don’t doubt you hear a difference in sound quality.
