I am so glad Alex Turner seen in Miles Kane something the music press and alot of rock n Roll kids didn't. What a superb song. The Rascals may have failed to really pick up any momentum and eventually split but out of it came such an underrated musician who has written some unbelievable songs with The Rascals/Last Shadow Puppets and his own solo work.
Liverpool has such a deep deep wealth of bands from Teardrop Explodes, Shack, LA's, Clinic, The Coral etc etc & personally these are a definitive band of the 00s. Bias maybe as I lived it up in the 00s & seen them at 2 epic gigs 🙂 Zuton Fever spread fast
Oh this takes me back. The mid 2000s were a good time for music. Miles Kane is a legend. I saw him live and loved it. Kinda sad this music is nostalgia now, most of us listening in our 30s.
Seen them supporting Zutons back in the day, Tremendous, still baffled why they never made a dint back then, least they got cult status now. Like "the big kids" all over again
I wouldn't go as far as that. There have better bands and songs from the 90's that are cult classics but were never a hit. Shed 7 had countless classics that failed to grab alot of attention.
Are the Zutons the last vestiges of the indies slave trading mercantile credit creed just like the cavern collective ? Good music but and Ms Harding is a credit to life’s good things . Legends and know it
Met Miles Kane in a pub the other night and asked if he remembered this band, he said 'Fuck Yeah, I was 17, quality tune, legend'. Well he's a fuckin legend and so is this perfect little indie beast. The Little Flames. We never did it better. Beautiful
