Social Health impacts who we are; our interactions from the past can drastically shape who we become in our future. Therefore, this RU-vid channel, the LifeIsTheFuture.com webpage, and other social media have become a fun and creative way to express lifelong connections and learning... to remember the past and reminisce... and to look into the future and wonder.

Your video on dealing with demotivation, distress, apathy, and avolition is incredibly insightful and helpful! Your practical mental health tips are exactly what many of us need right now. Thank you for sharing such valuable content and for your compassionate approach!
This is a snapshot of all stress- so distress, as a “bad” subtype of stress in general, is included throughout. Agree? Perhaps where specifically is up to debate. Ie: Some overload is going to be distressful. Isn’t that okay? Many might even say we benefit from some bad stress here or there in life. While too much has increasing potential to cause breakdown. Just some added thoughts. Thanks for the watch and the question.
I found this video while looking for classroom observation videos to watch for my teaching certificate. I was so engaged watching these kids cheer each other on! I love how the teacher incorporated SEL into a fun engaging game! These kids seem so happy to be in his class and he obviously has fostered a wonderful learning environment. Rock on!!!
Yep! Scroll down to “FriendShip Activity” for some classroom ideas based on the classic teambuilding activity generally known as “Stepping Stones.” lifeisthefuture.com/noteworthy-assignments
Hi Sarah, thanks for asking! This is pretty much the entire class period, so you’re looking at the lesson plan 😉 I don’t have anything else written up, but you can see how flexible it is depending on your goals and needs. Open the video description for a few extra details. Good luck with it all! Let me know how it goes. 🙌
What an awsome exercise. Its awkward enough to be in a room full of people u dont know but by doing this everybody gets to know each other, the kids feel more relax and therefore participate and learn a lesson at the same time
You look very humble and reasonable and I'm very very happy to see there's such wholesome conversations. Please don't let anyone convince you that words alone, regardless of context, can be violence, and even words in malicious context can justify physical violence or vandalism! Thank you for having and sharing this conversation!
Racism is rampant among teenage America. It's taught in schools and universities. There's affirmative action and critical race theory. They teach to treat people differently, based on their skin color. Racism against white people is on the rise and people are praised for it. They even teach that you can't be racist to white people.
@@MrTodnem of course, but in this context it's important to listen to the perspectives of those who actually experience it, then share yours after. fyi, i agree with her opinion
Thank you for sharing your thoughts everyone! Super interesting to hear your perspectives, and just listening to your raw opinions and experiences. I don't think I had any conversations like these until I was in college. Sincerely, a 24 yr old, 1st generation Latino American
You are the absolutely one of best teacher I have ever seen!!! I wish I could have been in this classroom to witness it in person!! It’s so clear that these students love you and love learning from you!
The fact that this was their first go to answer really explains how toxic relationships are for young people these days.. My answer would have been something like "I'm sweet and my husband's an asshole/sour but we come together like puzzle pieces and love each other Sooooo much that together we're amazing and unstoppable. Kinda like how if you put sweet and sour Skittles together they're amazing and it's so hard to stop eating them." Relationships can be amazing if you find someone that isn't toxic ASF.
I am thinking of doing teachers program to teach high school students I have social anxiety but the only thing I am confident I can do is teaching history so I am going to give it a try
