@@mattsheezy5469 Hootie was the first band that I ever got into as a kid. Tripped me out how fast everyone else moved on but I still like their music. Cracked Rear View and Looking for Lucky are my favorites. Also nice to know I’m not the only Hootie fan out there
It was pressed by Bishop Presses (see discogs). They pressed jazz records, almost exclusively. Judging by the label, the company could be affiliated with the "W,P. Featheringill" label, "Reissue." At least one of their releases was a bootleg, a Bix record. Check Discogs for: "Stomp Six* - Everybody Loves My Baby / Why Can't It Be Poor Little Me"
I LOVE the Nook! Its design is so cute, and it has a long battery life. The software is lacking, but can't that be a good thing? I don't have to worry about notifications or apps. Just read!

Thirded! I have a really bad .mp3 of this version, but was never sure where it came from / that it wasn't a cover band. Always preferred it to the album version. Thanks for finding & posting
Your spot on! Your theory, I think is true, music is heading in that direction, shorter songs, catchy songs & catchy dances are the norm, it sells . Creativity seems to be an afterthought & finding any group or artist that is original anymore is becoming more extinct. Support who you like, buy albums, stream, attend concerts, just become one with the sound being projected
Every time I hear these I get so many ideas for generic songwriting... It always sounds like rejected Megadeth or L7 riffs /melodies or something... Actually that third one with the whoo hoo oooooh. Had some blur/vines/hives kinda garage rock snuck into it. Super cool. I'd like to learn how to do this myself..
Would love to hear some of Gordon's recent music with his 70's voice. Would be a real treat. Gordon singing other people would be a treat too. Most beautiful voice.
Sample 1 sounds like a Paramore/Skye Sweetnam song circa 2007, sample 2 sounds like a Charli XCX remake of the song from 2020, and sample 3 sounds like a Cher Lloyd version of the song from 2014.
