There is such grace, beauty, fluid movement, flexible and flowing moves, and skills, great artistic qualities here, to delight us all, in love and peace.
The show is a wonder. After I saw this clips I dreamed to see them live. This become reality on 2 May. I saw them live at Bolshoi - I don't have enough words to describe the whole ballet - all the dancers are very good - to mention Des Grieux of Semyon Chudin, Count N of Vyacheslav Lopatin - but Svetlana and Vladislav are genius. Svetlana is so beautiful and at her "home" theatre - Bolshoi - is so relaxed and sure that Vladislav will not "drop" her. I saw her last month at La Scala in Giselle I and II shows, and something horrible was happened - Bolle (I liked him so much, I dreamed to see both of them at La Scalla in The Lady ... but now I can't even look at him) in the pasent dance from the first act at the second show, I think made o joke - leaved Svetlana in the air without sustaining her and cathed her after some moments. For a few moments she look terrified and after that she very subtil/discret put a hand on Bolle in every unstable moment of the dance to insure herself. Probably she suffered a vertigo because she didn't enter the grave below the scene, she preferred to retire herself right lateral behind the stage. The moment doesn't suffer because she have a great artistry and for those that saw this for the first time the final was very good. I saw the DWD probably more than 100 time, pas de deux from the second act is a marvel in that choreography - Yvette Chauvire. At the curtain call it was obvious that their relation was destroyed. She recovered from this stupid event and with Vladislav every moment was marvellous. Vladislav is very handsome, look better in reality that in that video, and him artistry is at a very high level. Now he is more relaxed and more fluid that in this video, probably because at the beginning he was partnered with Obratova, bur now with Zvetlana are like a sphere. Every movement of them is so touching, full of erotism but without any shadow of vulgarity, they speech to us in the language of movement and body expressions about LOVE - the goal of Alexandre Dumas fils in the foreword of his book. I think it is a must to see that ballet with this cast (for me was as easy as to go to La Scala) and it is a must for Mr Neumeyer to make/offer copyright for TV transmition and after a DVD with this cast.
