How do you get the silver part a loose once you remove the woodgrain around the gearshift

All you have to do is pop the wooden trim out with a plastic tool. It comes straight up and out.

thanks tho it seems to start at the point where the console is out, which seems the harder part and where if not done right is fraught with ways to screw up. tx if you have any video on that part..
