Maaann Moonsorrow are the best band i have ever heard... It is sad that they don't get the popularity they deserve, and they totally deserve a better crowd as well. They make music worthy of the gods, Hail Finland hail Moonsorrow 🇫🇮❤️🇬🇷
What a fucki'n great Gig! This Guys from Finland are same great like Swedish Brothers in Musik from Thyfing and Ereb Altor, Nearly same great Pagan Black Metal! Like these Guys since the first Release! 🤩🤗👌✊👊🤘🤘🤘👍☠️💀👻😈😎

The sound quality of this could be better, but it is the best quality of any Moonsorrow live show on RU-vid, so I thank you and appreciate this video. I have seen them live twice and the sound has been perfect.
You'd be surprised at the amount of times this happens. Probably it was fine for the attendees, but whenever it's streamed directly from the soundboard (to be posted online, for an example) shit goes bad fast.
Some people are still complaining about how this band's youtube live fest performance are bad like some poor little childs... Get a life please, go out and grow up.
I wouldn't say folk metal, but rather Viking metal or heathen metal. It's originated mainly from the epic stuff of Bathory. To me folk metal is rather the "drink and dance" stuff.
Short setlist, but what can they do when most of their songs 8-10-10+ minutes long? Remember my first Moonsorrow concert, Ville said, there is still 15 minutes left from the concert and we know what it means when it's Moonsorrow - yes, one more song.
I think this is more of an epic/atmospheric metal, of course with "viking" aestethics and lyrics, and some folk sounds yes. But it can be inside the Folk Metal spectrum. of course.
I see a lot of comments saying that they are terrible live, are a studio band, should practice more or stop drinking/taking drugs before their shows. I see also a lot of pointless recommandations about the singing or the guitar playing. I saw them two weeks ago and they sounded killer, it was literally one of the best show I've ever seen. The difference was that in that venue, the sound was really great. There is a thousand reason why a live record could sound not so great, and it's unfortunate that so many people blame the band for it. In this case I think that the vocals are too loud and lack of some reverb especially for the clean parts. And again no one knows if the mixing guy didn't give a shit or if he tried his best with the time and the material he had. I just prefer not to assume the worst of people when I don't know something.
I saw them 4 years before and they are absolute killers in live. The sound depends of the mix and the festival. They have errors in live, yeah, who not? Did you listen to Amon Amarth lives? All bands have errors in live, that's a normal thing and this is a live band. If anyone dont like it, they can just stay at home and listen to the albums without errors and perfect sound. Great comment :)
The live mix is made to sound good in real life, if you just record straight from the mixing table like here it is likely it will not sound good. The levels are not accomodated for recording
I'd just like to say thanks to the complete fucking moron who mixed this metal band to sound like a shitty karaoke bar where vocals are 10 times louder than everything else and the guitars are almost completely off. Thanks again, you deaf idiot. Go back to mixing country karaoke in dive bars. The band's performance is actually not bad for live, but the mix is so awful it actually makes the performance seem terrible. That's how horrible this sound guy was. He actively made the band worse.
Harsh vocals and bass are amazing as usual. Clean vocals should be improved urgently, is totally different from album releases. Drums and guitars, despite the bad mixing, are okay. The quallty overall is regular to bad, thanks to the terrible mixing. It seems that the audio was recorded with a cheap phone.
Just how bad they are live? I still have to watch a video where they don't terribly screw basically every song. Just saw Amon Amarth on RU-vid, same fest, and they ruled. And mind that I'd take almost any Insomnium's release over Amon's.
