Elegant rules, ka pai. Definitely have to try this out. I came across this because I've been mucking around with a TTRPG rule set that uses cards instead of dice and I was doing some research. I really appreciate the way you've crafted this considering I see design challenges you've solved that I've been banging my head against. And the movement mechanic is genius!
I really enjoy Tribal. I think it has one of the most innovative game mechanics in recent years. I especially like how dynamic the combat feels, compared to most systems with just pure dice combat. Is there any way to buy the 2nd edition rules in PDF format? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
This looks awesome! If I may ask, what are the miniatures you’re using? Also I saw there are supplement books for the first edition, will these be updated?
Interesting battle method, when you talk about feints and dodges in the book, it gives a feel of how they are fighting. The terrain looks great too. Maybe you guys could run a battle report of one of your scenarios some time?
These bases for your champions and leaders seem mighty useful, where did you get these from? I'm stoked to start playing the game myself. I like the mechanics and despite it not being historically accurate, it's very different from my usual fantasy and sci-fi games.
just curious, in what way would you say its not historically accurate? I bought the rulebook yesterday, looks interesting, maybe we can play a game online somewhere?
@@christopherbell9838 Well, it does not cover any specific period, tribe or battle. Most historic wargames I know are a re-enactment of certain events while here there's a lot of leeway. 'Accurate' was perhaps not the best word to describe it, 'correct' is probably better, as you play out many of the obscure skirmishes that happened at the time. And yeah, I sure would love too. But I don't know if there's a platform where we can play this game online.
Eureka miniatures do the cars in the video above - they've been modded to some degree. I reckon that's half the fun with this game - being able to 'pimp your ride' the way you like it. We have cars that are diecast as well, with guns and armour etc added to it. Contact Nic at Eureka, if you're interested in these cars specifically, and he'll sort you out: nicr@eurekamin.com.au
