Read the book "THE FACTS ABOUT LUTHER" by Msgr. Patrick O'Hare. It's quite the eye opener with profuse footnotes and multitudinous quotes from Luther's own writings. He is not a man to be admired. Luther himself was appalled witnessing in his lifetime all the different Protestant churches splintering off from one another. Instead Luther should have stayed within the One Church Christ founded, as did the true reformer St. Francis of Assisi did. The latter reformed it from within, knowing full well the wheat and the tares grow together.
. In 1567, Pope Pius V outlawed the sale of indulgences and any financial transactions related to them. The Catholic Church has never approved the sale of indulgences.
This is not a good thing he did Jesus founded the Catholic church and Martin Luther decides he knows better forms his own church instead of trying to work out the difference between the Catholic church he splits and made his own with his rules
The Church didn’t “fear” the arc-heretic Luther, and The Church didn’t sell indulgences. Luther was mentally unstable and is responsible for bringing millions of souls to hell. He should not be celebrated.
Similarly, the Brahman caste in India didn't like Siddhartha Gautama, "The Buddha", because he, too, threatened their position. He wanted to show the populace that they could attain enlightenment on their own, without the Brahmans. And because he was of the Royal family, they couldn't do a darned thing to stop or hurt him.
Luther never wanted to become a Catholic Priest. He couldn't go back on his word. Germany didn't want to pay the taxes to fight the Muslim hordes. Millions of people were murdered so the rich would be free of tax. Oliver Cromwell and his Puritan family became filthy rich by murdering millions of Catholic Irish and grabbing their lands.
"There are sinners in the Church! Can you imagine!!! Don't bother fixing it. I'm better. Give me the power your $$$ ( & that munn) instead! Millions wont die. Trust me" -M.L.
One might add here that some of the happiest people in the world - namely people from Nordic and Baltic countries - are mostly Lutheran and in many of those countries (like in my country Finland) Lutheranism is the leading religion.
Leading religion??? if anything, Protestant countries are among the less religious in Europe, Protestant churches are mainly supportive of woke antichristian movement.
Martin Luther also spoke out against the reformation movement and in his death bed in a monastery in France prayed, “forgive me for all the souls which I’ve led to hell.’
