I almost cried watching this. I have two Amazon parrots. One is 33 years old that I've had since he was weaned and the other one is 27 years old I cannot fanthom ever letting my birds get in this condition. My other question is how in the world did this bird stay alive? I don't understand how this bird was able to eat. Whoever owned that bird that let that happen should be arrested for animal cruelty. There's no excuse for that. Absolutely none. Whoever let that happen should not ever be allowed to own animals again of any type. Animals of that type depend on humans 100%. When they're held in captivity they've got no choice but to live how we say they're going to live. I really can't say what I hope would happen to the whoever did that to that bird. You can guess.
I left you a HUGE "like" (if that is possible!) Thank you for being so caring and gentle with these wonderful beings that are birds, especially the parrot family who are so smart. Paco was so well behaved and it looked like he was craving that interaction with another being, be it a human or a feathered friend. Who knows for how long he'd been suffering without being able to close his beak properly. Again, I can't thank you enough for doing what you do; and, in this particular case, for dear Paco.
I got my Quaker parrot about a year and a half ago. I think he just turned two; I was set on getting a ringneck at first originally; But I chose him instead bc he was the last of 3 who were having trouble finding homes and he was already 4 months old so the breeder gave me to him for a discounted price. I am very very happy with my little Ollie. I want to keep birds for life, I would recommend Quaker parrots to anyone who wants a bird. Even children who are responsible. They have amazing temperaments, very smart and very sweet. I don’t know if I lucked out with mine as far as temperament goes or if I just raised him well. I love him so much. But they are for sure not an impulse purchase and people need to really really be aware of how long they live.
Wow!! This was really fantastic to see. Paco was a great patient and you rewarded him with excellent treatment. It seems like Paco may have developed a crush on you, lol. 🥰 🦜
Thank you for what you do for animals 🫶🏼 Sometimes I lose faith in humans.. we are the most invasive species for sure but some of us try to do their best to keep other lifes good as well
You could use Russian manicure bits instead of the sanding drum, they're incredibly efficient, get much less hot and come in many shapes that will help you work faster with less vibration <3
I saw one of your videos on Facebook. The city in particular was very touching. Happy I found your channel and hope to learn more about these extraordinary birds.
I’ve had a Quaker for 13 years and just recently bought another! They have so much personality and are very entertaining. Unfortunately, the older one only likes me and is known as the “demon bird” to everyone else, but my family and I have figured out a solid routine to keep everyone, including him, happy and safe. Sometimes a little patience goes a long way
