If Carry played his entire career as a DH and managed to stay healthy, he would be in the Hall of Fame today. A great hitter, for power and average.

Me! I heard Ali talk about Lester Maddox before but I wanted to see whats up AFTER watching that awful fight of Ali vs Quarry 1 as if Ali had to pull everything in his skill box to beat this man. That fight was probably one of Ali's EASIEST FIGHTS EVER in real life

Joe blew out his knee in August of 1971 during the pre season...so how is this interview from 9/22/71? That would also be after the 1971 NFL season had already started.

He probably needed the money. There’s no way he still believed he would ever regain the title.

It was actually Bird’s cheek. He went to the hospital following the game to have the cheekbone (zygomatic arch) repaired. He wasn't allowed to play in games at all for 5 games. He then "came off the bench" for the next 19(?) games, tho often playing the most minutes. 🤷‍♀️. They were on a winning streak and Bird isn't known for his *_team_* mentality for nothing. ☘️ Larry Legend

The saddest day in hockey history…gods gift to any hockey fan (yes, not only Boston fans were dumbfounded by his play) done essentially at 28 years old. It’s like never seeing the one you love again…we never missed a game because we didn’t want to miss the next impossible thing he’d do.

Chris said that she was exhausted after very tough matches against Sabatini and Kohde Kilsch in singles and then two three setters in doubles. She said: "I was trying to end the points early. I didn't want to stay out there for four hours. There was a point in the second set when I tried to reach down, but there was nothing there. That was the difference. But I have no excuses, Zina played better than she's ever played against me."
