I replaced the shock absorbers in a Toyota Corolla made by kyb with 4 wheels. I am still disappointed. The car is not comfortable to drive. It should be noted that my tire is 195/60/15 from Michelin. What do you think? I thought of reducing the thickness of the spring wire by 1 mm and adding another coil. I saw on RU-vid how to change springs, how to cut springs to lower the vehicle, but I have not seen people change spring parameters and install them in the vehicle to make the vehicle more comfortable to drive
FWD makes sense because of simplicity and compactness. For example the inverter, charger, motor, transmission and differential can all be stacked in the front. And it’s easier to do the liquid cooling.
Wider tires do not usually "harm handling", in most cases they improve handling by providing more grip - that means better cornering and acceleration. But there are limits. Very wide front tires invite understeer, especially on FWD and AWD cars. I found the best setups for sports cars is wide rear tires and narrower fronts.
Interesting but the wider tyre physics is more complex. The video assumes a perfectly smooth road surface whereas in reality the surface is rough. Hence despite lower point pressure the wider tyre has more grip.
Hi there, my question is not related to the topic here. bumped into your video while i was searching for some answers. I drive an old model x. it came with 265 45 20 in Front and 275 45 20 Rear. the wheels are 20x9 Front nd 20x19.5 Rear. the Rear Right (passenger side) tire is wearing out way faster than the Rear Left. Please advise.
has this expert never heard of Fraunhofer paste the numbers would be even more impressive no real tank weight and a very safe dispersal system with little danger of catastrophic fire there's the solution yesterdays men are slowing progress wringing their hands with fear that their day is done
I laugh at these over engineered over complicated computer /tracking devices on wheels, what mechanic would work on this? you Need Airconditioning experts , high voltage AC/DC electrical engineer, An I.T. expert and god knows who else. It's a joke, a totally disposable car that will never even last long enough to ever be called a classic historic vehicle. This is because they won't be worth replacing the battery. Which you would need electrical fitters and HI voltage AC/DC engineers to do. Till charging times and battery technology changes they are not a viable option for road trips of transportation of goods.
