Nice video man. I am new to this kind of fishing. I want to ask you how would you ajing in shallow waters(2-3m) with small or bigger rocks inside,? Does continuous retrieve work with 🪱?
It all depends on what the Ajis are feeding on.. continuous retrieval or darting retrieval will be effective if they were chasing small bait fish. If they’re feeding on planktons. Use a light jighead to let your rig glide through to mimic plankton..
We are glad that this video is of much use to you.. your compliments will inspire us to do more videos as we enjoy sharing knowledge and information.. Thank you once again.. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I appreciated this video because I'm a newbie. I learned action technique and basic discipline. And I have one question: Your rod has a long rear grip. Don't you feel uncomfortable when casting? Many Korean anglers use a short rear grip for ajing.
I do use short butt rod as well.. the rod I’m using in this video is a longer rod which is designed for micro jigs. As I had fish at this spot many times, I know that the Aji’s are further out in the dark.. with a longer rod, it gives me the distance. The longer butt also assist me to cast further using the pull back matter..
I really liked the video. I am in the middle of learning and this type of information is great. I would like to see more videos like this, when to choose one size or another, what type of jig head to use, when to use solid or transparent color, etc. Thank you very much for the information. Regards.
I’m glad that the video is of use to you.. it’s our pleasure to offer all this information to you. I’m over the moon whenever viewers appreciated our work. Thanks again for the encouragement.. tight lines…
Iam new to ajing, i learn a lot from your video, especialy some xfactor like the fish mostly avoid light, the bigger on the dark side, choose the right lure color depents on moon phase, twitch technique, jighead weight, etc. thx btw, this informative🙏🏼🤝🏼
I have thought of that.. but I would rather viewers ask me in their comments. For that I will have more interaction with my viewers. That would make me feel closer to them.. 😀
Thank you so much for this detailed tuto, very appreciated! Just one thing, you are passing very fast on the line description, understand using ester line because it has heavy density, but which size are you using please? Have checked these lines and seem to be so thin... also, are you adding any fluoro leader? Maybe larger size than the mainline itself to prevent cut by some fish with teeth? Thank you again.
I use between 1.4lb - 2.3lb polyester line depending on the environment. In this video, I was using 2.3lb pair with 4lb fluorocarbon leader. As I’m targeting Ajis, they r inhalers without teeth. My 4lb leader is more for abrasion again under water structures.
@@DixonicQ Thank you! Ordered ester 0.3 Varivas line (1.75lbs) from Malaysia (I am in Thailand and could not find this type of line here) BEFORE I checked your channel, and so, was wondering if I should have ordered the 0.4 instead... Looks like the 0.3 is still in acceptable range hopefully, but probably limited to small Aji only.. Should I re-order for 0.4? Thanks again!
@@AP_Thailand 0.3 is good enough.. u r able to land big ajis on it.. I land 30cm Aji in Japan with 0.3.. I have also landed 1.6kg trevally on my 0.6 2.3lb ester line. Only difference is, it will take a longer time to land them.
I have not played Ajing before but often do creek fishing with my Shimano Alderaban BFS (3.5kg drag) baitcaster. I know its uncommon to use a baitcaster for Ajing, however, for a start can I use my Alderaban to save some investment? My rod is also for creek fishing and its very sensitive, the length is 6ft +. Thank you!
Of course you can.. as long as you’re able to load in some polyester line light enough to cast light jigheads.. main point here is to be able to sink your rig to the strike zone.
Bossman, how do you contact boat man and booking everything? From accommodation to transfer from Singapore. Wanted to try but have zero experience fishing out of Singapore. Thanks in advance master DQ!
U can try joining some fishing Facebook group example fishing kaki or eat sleep fish. There’s kakis there who are always looking for 1-2 more to join them.
