Measured it against my rod and then put a tape measure next to it when I got home. It was about 19.5 inches so a bit smaller than I was thinking at the time 🎣
I know that feel. A 22-23 inch Brown troit hooked my lower back when I turned around in my boat to look for pliers to unhook him. So I couldnt reach my back or see what I was doing. Had to ask the fishermen in the nearest boat, and I think they are still laughing at the 14 year old boy with a trout on his back to this day. And this happened 20 years ago
Im pretty new at fishing but a shakey head hook w a dark worm seems to be really solid in my experience. At least for bass. And a simple ball of bread for the trout lol
Men should always carry a knife, flashlight, and gun wherever they go. If you make a habit of always having a multitool, you could’ve walked home with both shoes on.
No he doesn't , are you really that dumb ? Look at how he handled that brown , pulled out of the water , laid it on the rocks , that trout had about a 3-5 % chance of survival even after swimming away ! He's a clown !
What’s wrong with you, you rip that barb out right there and then! Don’t you carry pliers? if not was a sign to carry proper hook removal for the health of the fish! And that trout was a rink consider going barbless, luckily that trout wasn’t a survivor strain ! I will say cool your getting them on the X rap!
I wouldn't go for that much technology , but there's baitcasters out there that cost more without a computer. If it's built as good as mt KVD baitcaster , it may be worth it to some people.
I just went carp fishing completely unprepared for carp lol, I thought there were gonna be catfish so I was throwing hotdogs and that kind of stuff, they completely ignored it so I’m gonna try this next time I go out
Grab a small bowl and grab some sweet corn, bread, bread crumbs, corn starch, and honey and mix it together. Spod it out or chum it by hand. Wait a couple minutes until you carp feeding on the spot (bubbling, swirling, silt going up) then cast out a small hair rig with your bait of choice. boillies, corn, wafters, or pop ups to name a few. Cast it out to the spot you baited and wait, I’ve caught 10+ pound carp using this method.
That was Great! Lots of action in that nice pond and beautiful looking catches! So glad summer is here. Hope you have time to do more fishing, any type I know would be awesome. I have grampa's fly rods but never tried them. Not sure just how to use them correctly. Great video!
Thanks! Yeah fly fishing takes some time to get used to, I’m definitely no expert at it, but would love to use it more often! It’s just a bunch of practice to get down the technique, but once you get it down, fighting fish on light action is so fun!
