Nothing new here. I'm just trying to show people how I approach adding to my rustic home through building furniture and house additions. Many of the videos I will be making are for things I haven't seen a whole lot of examples of on RU-vid. There isn't a right way to do what I'm doing, I'm just showing how I like to work. I've been a woodworker for over fifteen years now and a professional video editor for over 20 years. Both have never gotten any easier because I won't allow them to. But I have developed a style in both disciplines that I hope will keep you coming back.
I made mine with one inch wood, angles at the corners for strength, and a “T” up the middle for a bit of support. I used wood glue, toe nailed the angles inside the rectangle, put small brackets one all the corners and it’s solid as a rock. It’s for a hardware cloth door inside a chicken coop. Anything over one inch was just a bit heavy.
my job is giving me 2 45% off coupons for shure so I wanted to get a nice microphone and some mixing headphones, this microphone sounds amazing. Thank you for this video on showing the mic quality
Wow thanks for this. I'm doing a door and was deciding whether to by a dedicated tool or this rockler device. Rockler it is so far. Unless i find the energy to make a jig for dowels😊. Thanks again.
Nice looking bench. I'm sure it was useful at your BBQ. I really like the openers, airiness and uncluttered look of you "shop", Great video and glad to see you back on YT.
I had them leftover from another project and decided to use them to dress up the door a little. Think I got them online. Just look for wrought nails on Amazon and you should find what you're looking for.
Make a sled to cut those tapers so you are not caught between the blade and fence if it grabs or kicks. Takes a few minutes to make one and helps your fingers last a lifetime.
Best "Build a Screen Door" video I've watch. Video production may be better on others but your woodworking skills and techniques were a great help. Thanks. How is the screen door today? Warped or Sagging?
Not sagging, white oak just greys up which is what I wanted. The only thing I might have to do is change the screw heads on the hinges as they are rusting a little.
That's nice. Must be a new phenomenon. Hearing aid only picks up in tcoil and it must be loud on your end. Not sure why you're now having this issue as it's been the same forever.
Those are bronze furniture bolts. I found they worked the best for me but I suppose you could fabricate something the suits your needs. Thanks for watching.
The whole concept behind a carriage bolt is the square shape underneath the domed head. That square shape is designed to bite into the wood, to keep the bolt from spinning. Carriage bolts are not meant to have a washer under the head! If you put a washer under the head, you disable the square biting element, so when you tighten the nut, the bolt spins, and it's awkward to get a wrench under the head to hold it. You're better off using a standard hex bolt in that case, so you could at least grab it with a wrench when tightening the bolt. Or, better still, use the carriage bolt with no washer under the head, and then when you tighten the nut the bolt won't spin.
I have watched your video a few times, and I still think this is one of the most pleasing small clock designs I’ve ever come across. I think you should have way more subscribers - all your projects are so well done, and it’s a pleasure to watch you bring them all home. Thank you.
Looks great. And it was nice not having to listen to never ending narration of the process. And for NOT begging us to "Like, subscribe and ring the bell".
Hi, I'm sorry you didn't find the time to talk to us about a possible collaboration. I hope this will be possible in the future. I wish you a wonderful day. Kind regards, Florencia The Epoch Times
