I never saw the movie. I went down the RU-vid rabbit hole one night and happened to see Stuart singing the Time Warp and I was hooked. Wonderful voice.
If you haven't been to a screening, GO - it's amazing :D i went to one for my 20th and it was so much fun, everyone was dressed up, threw stuff, shouted stuff - i guarantee you will have become a theatre kid by the end
riccardo ist für mich wirklich einer der talentiertesten männlichen darsteller im deutschsprachigen raum. ich finde er kann alles spielen :-) er hat seine vielseitigkeit in den letzten jahr in linz sowas von unter beweis gestellt...
Hab Riccardo Greco in Hamburg in der vorletzten Show gesehen. Es war ein Fest. Er und Oda May sind mir so positiv in Erinnerung. Aber das Ganze Team, und die sehr moderne Inszenierung meiner Meinung nach waren top. Hab danach Tina Turner gesehen. Was für mich persönlich dann ehr wieder klassisch inszeniert war. Wobei ich den wortwörtlichen Twist sehr gut fand, am Ende auf einem Konzert zu sein.
This is a synopsis of the interview translated by my German friend Tamara Schwedhelm for those who don't speak German. 'Interviewer ask her to tell the people a bit about her person! And she says , hi, I'm Willemijn Verkaik and I play the role of Sloan? in the musical Bat out of Hell! Interviewer ask her, to tell a bit about this role! She says, that she is the mother of Raven and Raven have fall in love with Straight? (Sorry, don't know all the nams right, but you know, whats going on in the musical ;o))) ) She told us, that her family is rich and her husband is not Mr. Nice Guy ;o))) Straight is a rebell and one of the lost who stay 18 forever. Her daughter Raven have fallen in love completly and she trys to prevent this. But in her heart she is rebell too. Interviewer told us, that the lady have study pop and jazz singin and ask her, if this role is a challenge for her. She says, that yes, this music is a big challenge and she try to show up this music exactly how it was ment from the makers. The songs and the music are very sophisticated, but makes a lot of fun to sing. Interviewer ask her, if they have room for interpretations or if they strictly hold on the originals. She sayd, yes we have room and talk about it, that all were content at last. They always try during the shows to become better and better. Interviewer ask her, if she have a special feeling for the original songs. She sayd yes, she ad sing in some bands in her earlier times and so songs from Meat Loaf too. And some are beloved songs, which are theme in the musical too and she have a lot of fun with it. And it is for her a sweet memory. Interviewer ask her, what people could expect from the show, which couldn't interprete the title so much. She tells us, that guests will become a big show with fantastic scenery, lot of Meat Loaf songs, great voices and a gorgeous love-story. Her character have a very interesting, different story. All very emotional! She thinks, that people who watch it first time, were totaly impressed and want to go again ;o))) (Well, we know, it is this way). Interviewer told us, that the scenery is so special and ask her, how her feelings were after seeing it first time. She told us, that she looked every day around the corner and it become more and more each day and it is totaly gorgeous at the end! Story happens on different niveaus and cameras work with this. It isn't to tell, one must go to see it! Interviewer told us that songs were translated into german and ask her, if this work well. She sayd, yes, works very well and this way people can understand all much better, who maybe don't so big in english language! Interviewer told us, that she played a role in "Wicked" in this theatre and ask her, if she like to come back there! She answers, yes, she love to be again in Oberhausen, because it is near to the Netherlands and she can often visit her husband. And she like the place a lot and the people working there, nothing have changed meanwhile and it is like an home-coming for her. Interviewer sayd thank you and wish her a good time. And she says thanx back!'
Love from America!!! I watched this entire video, even though I can't understand a thing being said because I LOVE WILLEMIJN so MUCH! She's so talented, so beautiful, so sweet and funny. Best of luck to the cast of Bat Out of Hell!
