Hi, I hope your leg is better now. Wondering, with the Ultra having 13" shocks standard, then moving to the 14" Super Shox with relocation mount, was your ride height the same as before? I have a Street Glide with 12" shocks. Super Shox is telling me this same config you have would leave me with the SAME ride height. I'm assuming he's talking about after I mount the bike and with the proper sag it'll be the same height as stock. Lastly, have you sold this bike yet? I was hoping to buy your shocks if not... Thanks!
There was no noticeable change in ride height from stock for me. The Supershox ride very well and I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. I haven't sold the bike yet but the shocks aren't for sale separately. Have a good day/
@@Weaselbeak75 According to Super Shox, your ride height should have actually gone down by 1/2" with their 14" shock and relocation mount. Since your ride height was about the same, I'm thinking mine might increase a little with the same shock since mine are 12" stock. Good luck in selling the bike! If you decide to sell the shocks at some point, please hit me up... Cheers!
Hello there, I’ve been following your videos on the 14” Super shocks. Now that you’ve been riding on them for a while what are your impressions on the ride and would you recommend them? Thx.
Hello. I unfortunately didn't get to ride a whole season on them as I hit a deer and shattered my ankle. From the amount of time I got to spend with them I felt they were a great shock. The ride was really smooth. This was all one up riding unloaded so I never had a need to adjust them. I probably put a couple thousand miles on them and I would buy them again if that helps any.
@@Weaselbeak75 Wow! So sorry to hear about your run in with the deer. I hope you’re doing better and back in the saddle. About the Super Shocks I’m glad that you were happy with them and would purchase them again. Super Shox videos are compelling but it’s better to get a real rider review. Thanks for the quick response and videos. Alex
I still have this thing. It worked out pretty well, went on a couple of short trips to rallies, even. Lost interest mostly when the grandson joined the military.
I've seen write ups where they have said to remove the exhaust-I've done it 2x now and have never removed the exhaust. To be honest what's really in the way is the stupid oil tank and lines
My 02 Sportster speedometer stopped working. I came to You Tube and found your video. It is straight forward and easy to understand. Thanks so much for pointing out the cable. Because of you I fixed the problem. Thanks again.
Or you could just pop out the cutouts in the bottom of the liner and you'd have use of the 4 welded tie-downs that might be a little more secure than those bull rings that seem a little flimsy in the way they adhere to the stake pockets. Just my $0.02
Have a 2018 ultra limited and looking to get the bag fillers. Can't decide between Custom Dynamics or Ciro. Really like the looks of the Ciro but the Custom Dynamics appear to be brighter. Have you seen both or have any insight about the comparison between the two. The Ciro in your video look pretty bright but I was wondering how bright they are when to brake is applied. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I've not seen the custom dynamics bag fillers in person. I also can't remember anyone who has custom dynamic lights that doesn't seem pleased with them. I think you are stuck between two good choices and will come out ok either way. I will mention two differences that I have noticed between the custom dynamics bag fillers and the Ciro-The Ciro turn signals show up as orange-which is a nice contrast. The Custom Dynamics do not. The Ciro unit covers the little bolt head below them on each side whereas the custom dynamics do not. Good luck choosing!
+hvilletrumpet I enjoyed several things about it. It maintained the tpi look and wasn't that difficult to install. It made for a nice looking motor. However I would only use it on a motor that's been punched out. It would be a waste on a 350 IMO. For all the money I put in my motor I could have probably gotten the same power cheaper by swapping an LSx motor in.
Got my xs650 chopper back together after doing some work on the frame over the winter. Here's the first fire. Short to do list and then a shakedown run soon!
Hi,I know you uploaded this video awhile ago, but can you help me? I have the same bike, and got the HID kit for xmas. Can you tell me where you managed to hide the two ballasts?? im gonna try the install when we are in warmer weather, but haven't a clue where to put them yet.
This setup uses a FIRST intake which comes with runners larger than stock ones can be ported. If you're looking for high rpm's then you would be more interested in a short runner setup.
I'm not sure yet as I'm waiting for the engine to break in before I put it on the dyno. I did get a new tune from pcmforless but I need to datalog it and maybe send that in for final touches. It's healthy though. I will probably do a video of me driving around once I get everything sorted. You didn't mention what car you had but when you do decide to bite the bullet feel free to give me a holler and I'll let you know what issues I had to iron out. I'm on google+ as weaselbeak69@gmail.com
