I tried to be smart and took the rubber part out of a brand new wiper blade and refitted it back into my Classic Car Chrome Wiper Blade. All fitted fairly easily. NEVERTHELESS When I operated the windscreen washer; the wiper blade didn’t sit evenly on the windscreen (high spots) and most of the water remained on the windscreen. 😭
Much easier! No need to remove the plastic cap, pull the blade inward until expansion and pull it out through that. Replace with a new one in the same way.
Mine doesn't have those metal clips in the bar, they;re just straight. The only clip I see is from the blade frame / holder into a special slot (not the groove) in one end of the rubber blade. Cant find a replacement refill anywhere on eBay, even the 6mm ones are just straight with no "ends" to clip it into. If I got one of those, it would more than likely just slide all the way out. Don't want the have all the waste associated with buying a whole new frame for some new rubber blades. Such as shame they're not generic & standard across all lines.
Great job! I know how to do the old kind, but these were giving me fits and I didn't want to break them. You did great. I agree. Why don't you have more views? I'll bet the negatives are from auto parts stores that want to sell you the whole friggen thing for $30+!!
Why didn't you just tell everyone in the title that you were doing a commercial for this product would have saved everyone a whole lot of time listening to that terrible background music in you're horrible video
0:24 you don't even have to take that cap off. when you push the rubber refill back like that, you pushed it far enough to where you can start pulling it out. you aren't supposed to take that cap off. once you get to 0:24, you can start removing the rubber refill.
How do I get the new rubber refill in without taking the cap off? It doesnt seem to go all the way in, and I can't find any information on how to do it without taking it off.
