I'm fan of these knife but I do t have 1 piece in my life because I'm poor don't have a single victorinox knife with me I'm from India no one is their to buy it for me
The light makes a ton of sense. Everyone who spends time in the outdoors carries a high power flashlight. However there is great use in a low power light for close up work that doesn’t give away your position or totally destroy your night vision. Along with all the other implements this knife has, the light was the final deciding factor for me.
Best video I've seen of the Th-f6a! It is my favorite handheld by far, and I own two of them. So much of this radio is just done right, without being overly confusing and difficult to use. I still have to refer to the manual every so often to remember how to do something, but it's not onerous. Sadly, Kenwood discontinued this model approximately 4 years ago. I was very surprised because it is such a gem, and seems to have sold well. I was at HRO and asked what the replacement model was, and they handed me a $750 digital radio.. no thanks. Also if anybody needs any parts for this radio Pacparts in California still has a decent supply. I was able to find an antenna connection to replace mine when it cracked. Excellent video!
There will always be a better tool for these kind of chores. Thats being said if you dont have it and the st300 is the only thing you got it will get the job done
I’d be careful with that claim that it’s legal to carry in Europe. In the uk at least, it is indeed marketed as uk legal, but it’s not yet been tested in court. The fact that the closed handles stop the blade from fully closing might well render it foul of the law. If they had put the blade on the outside it would have been ok. One day it’ll probably be tested in court, then we’ll know for sure, I won’t be running the risk though.
Nice video review. I have two in the cooler range. I am a big fan of the headlamp holder. The light can easily and quickly be seated and removed from the holder which is a great convenience.
Well, I now have experience with three different Victorinox knives with translucent clear light modules. One was a NOS Cybertool Lite from Smoky Mountain, and two were used Huntsman Lites from Ebay. Two of the lite modules were what I call weak, including the NOS Cybertool Lite. One of the light modules was much stronger (one of the used Huntsman Lites). It appears that not all clear light modules are created the same. I wonder if Victorinox made a change or modification to the internals at some point after introducing the clear lites? We know they must have at some point after the gray modules were retired, as none of them are bright.
Really like your comment that the tool can be used to help someone. Many of the tools; we can't imagine needing it--but we could meet someone where the tool could be a godsend!
Since I found your channel, I have been going through all of your previous videos. I live here in AZ, outside the Phoenix metro area. There are always stories of hikers not bringing enough or any water on a hike, and the sun is relentless here. There is a group of firefighters that are in a special unit dedicated solely for these rescue. Thanks for sharing, I'm originally from east coast, and the scenery you pictured is something I'm a bit nostalgic for.
I looked at the OPen Pro and Glow, and wound up choosing the Fenix Tactical Pen. I really like it. You can take the cap off and clip it to your shirt if you need hands free light in the attic or whatever. Frankly, I wish I had seen your video before I purchased. That Wuben looks nice.
Thank you very much for this. I am leaning towards getting the tekko 4 (coming from the large dendrite, i gifted it to my best friend.) as it seems to be a bit bigger than the large dendrite and with good organization.
Loved the video thank you,just bought a used one and couldn’t identify it it must’ve an early champ it has all the features yours has minus the pliers ,the pen, and pin hole. It has the old grey magnifyer, and the main blade is well worn but still holds a good edge, i love it, thanks for the channel
No mention of the most important difference. The 7600G needs batteries in to keep the memories, without batteries the memories are lost in only a few hours. On the 7600GR the memories are non-volatile and you don't need power to retain them at all.
The text in beginning for the gr shows non volatile memories. Yes that is correct for 7600g. Both need batteries to keep clock time, but the gr has ability to keep its preset memories in addition to having alot more

Hello, nice video, thanks for sharing. The radio content is like a foreign language to me, but I do appreciate learning about different hobbies. I have to ask how do you decide on the multi-tools carried that are shown in this video? I have acquired the Swisstool X, Swisschamp, and most recently the Wave+. I like them all, but I just can't gravitate away from the versatility of the Swisschamp. If I carry the Swisstool I use Victorinox's pocket clip, and it carries the tool very well. My issue I find is during the course of my day I will need a tool not found on the Swisstool, such as what is found in scales of the Champ. I too use the Vanquest Dendrite, but in their large size. I have utilized a small altoids-sized tin container for items that include the tweezers, toothpick, straight pin, and like sized items into this container. The issue I have is this is just not as conveinent as having all of those items inside the 91mm scales, inside of my pocket. The Swisschamp is aptly named, because I just can't let it out of my pocket for too long. I am wondering if you have such a conundrum with your carry?
I was interested in the Tekko 4, but I'm turned off to those detachment points on the strap. I wish the strap was configured exactly like the Dendrite. I could live with the sloppy excess of the grab handle, and no organization in that front compartment (some pockets would have been nice), but the strap attachment is the deal breaker. @@TheFossilChannel Hello, I would like to amend my comment. This comment was made after viewing your video, and others about the Tekko 4. I purchased it, and it arrived today. I am now making the Tekko 4 my EDC sling over my Large Dendrite. The slight increase in height and width, is just enough for my contents to not be smushed. The UTX clips I thought would disengage too easily, and yet they are very stiff to actuate which has eased my mind of disengagement . The muted leather logos are more appealing, and the grab handle is actually more useful than previously thought. Color me impressed. The strap length is cinched all the way down for my torso, and the Tekko lays at my lumbar area, maybe a slight lower than what I'm used to. Your video was great with the display and visuals of the bag, and it was the reason that I just needed to try it for myself. I was going to delete the comment, but am not ashamed to admit that I was wrong. Thank you again.
I bought a pulse with original leather belt case for $30 at a garage sale 20 years ago. Was like brand new. I'm still using it to this day with excellent performance. I never knew about the top attachment for it! Thanks for that piece of information!
Mine says its green and charged when i plug in the magnet charger, but i was out using it quite a bit last night, so i had to pull the battery and use the xtar vc4, weird because i was loving the magnetic charger but it can't tell it needs to be topped off what the hell. Loosened it 1/4 turn too, and tried both wahs, blinking red on left or green. I just put it in the xtar and its put 327 mah into the battery already, hopefully i get it sorted because don't like having to pull the battery paranoid about threads lol albiet square cut. That is smart of them the 1/4 turn safety charge feature, i really like that
Good morning everyone, a question: when navigating on a loaded GPX track, is it possible to "lock the map" to follow the direction to follow? , every time we stop , the map continues to rotate slightly, perhaps to update our position.. and it's not very clear where you need to go, where the route to follow is. @@TheFossilChannel wow! Do you know of a modern animal that looks like a trilobite? I saw some crawling around a red rock cliff in Southern California when doing the usual tourist stuff. I think it was at Sunset Cliffs. I tried looking it up with no avail.
