Living in a Tampa Florida, I have the pleasure of seeing Obituary play at least a couple times a year. I especially like seeing them at smaller venues like The Brass Mug. One of my favorite bands of all time!
Have you read the HP Lovecraft book where the Cause of Death album cover originated? also Obituary seemed highly influenced by Celtic Frost in their beginning imo. Also, what an awesome collection man!
In my opinion Cause of Death is the best Obituary album, that album was ahead of it's time during the 90s, music wise and production wise. I also love the fact that James Murphy was in the album.
Cool video and cool album picks. I need to check some of these out that you mentioned. Only death metal bands that I like with new albums for 2024 is Contaminated and Civerous. For sludge bands, Sumac and Bongripper have good albums from this year. Cheers and thanks for sharing.
Badass! Defiantly need to listen to that ceremony album. I remember I saw ceremony with TA in 2016 and everyone left after their set and TA was last. Ceremony had a variety of sounds and that was mind blowing about them but I will listen more. Also, there are a couple of Fugazi records I like but I have not heard Repeater yet… checking that soon. I love that TA stg 4 album so much and I’m sure it’s gonna be hard for me to listen to when that time comes for me. Love that DK album what a classic . Thanks for sharing your list Bas! ❤️
Thanks for your reaction! Appreciate it you checking this video out! Ceremony has such a wide variety of sound! Pretty cool you saw them together with TA! I think TA is the punk band I have seen the most! Love them! ❤
The new one is my favorite release of this year so far! I am waiting till I can find an european distro that has it! DIPYGUS is such an amazing band! 👌
@@Unblessedmeat headsplit records did the cassette I don't know how easy it will be to get in Europe it was a pain to get over here to Australia same with the cd from Memento Mori I got that from selfmadegod records I don't know if he still has cds available you have to check his store out he in Poland I think and lp from crypt of wizard records in the UK so if that gets a European distro grab it but yeah the headsplit records cassette is a pain to get overseas
@@Metalofmadness96 UK isn't Europe anymore since brexit happend so that's not an option really. I have good hoped for a distro I regular buy things from might get it at some point. I will get it probably sooner or later.
Cool collection! I am old and got into Mastodon when Leviathan came out. Crack the Skye is my fav though. Seen them a bunch of times mostly at festivals. I’m still missing a few albums from their discography but I have most of them between cd and vinyl. Keep up the vids man
I am 29 and I wish I could have seen them around Leviathan they probably played smaller venues which are imo also more fun. Thanks for the kind words! Really appreciate it! 👌
Well from the old school ones I like Obituary and Autopsy but from the some newer bands I love Gatecreeper, Dipygus, Undergang, Cerebral Rot and Cryptworm
Thanks! I am really active on Instagram so if you want to see something specific you just have to send me an message! Got all the Faceless Burial records as you mention you are from Down South🖤
