Ok so the movie didn’t really highlight this well enough, but the “mystery” behind Lucy Gray Baird is intentional, and also mirrors her eventual fate (her name is actually after a poem by William Wordsworth in which a girl disappears and is never heard or seen again). The covey are a travelling music band who don’t really belong to any district put ended up in 12 and were forced to stay, and he considered residents. In the book, Lucy Gray kinda has similarities to the Romani people. The nomadic lifestyle, the colours, self expression etc. But yeh can understand in the movie how one of the “main characters” feels underdeveloped.
The action in this was nothing short of incredible. I was blown away by the stunt work and flawlessness of it all. I also thought it had a good story, that built off nicely off of Chapter 3. Overall, I loved this movie and thought it was a nice end to the franchise as well. Great review
