I've been practicing sleight of hand card magic for a few years now, and I'm just having a good time recording my performances and putting them up for people to enjoy.
I used to: - perform sleight of hand magic with card game and board game components - make tabletop game, card game, and board game tutorials, strategy segments, and gaming sessions - describe some obscure 8-bit video games - put in my two cents about movies (spoiler free)
Thank you kindly for the inspiration! I really did like that ending a lot, so I felt like I had to perform it. Then I had this idea and this video is the result.
This kind of event should always prioritize video and audio recording. We are rapidly approaching a “vids or it didn’t happen” world. Plus, with high quality video cameras in every pocket, there’s no excuse anymore.
Thank you kindly for watching and commenting! I appreciate it! The story of the trick makes more sense if you know about the story in the video game- but yeah, just scooping the Queen right at the end and the bonus extra seems very open and honest. But surprise!
Great video! When I first learned the snap change almost a decade ago I kinda did what you did, covering with the other hand. I can DM you the clip on Discord if you’d like to see it
Thank you kindly! Yeah, I did a project where I did 100 tricks in 100 calendar days back at the beginning of 2022 (and I succeeded!). One per week now seems pretty "laid back" by comparison. LOL
@@krazee_aznnn thanks buddy. I try to put a video out there every 2-3 weeks. Whenever life allows me to do so. Also I need a lot of practice compared to you haha. I’ll have a look into your playlist 🕊️
This is great, love it! Spoiler: I think that there are more than four cards from the start. Probably two Mountains, and maybe two of something else as well but maybe thats not necessary
I will neither confirm nor deny! But I love hearing theories! BTW, I just wanted to say thank you so much for the comment- especially done in a respectful way. Often times we get people spoiling things disrespectfully and/or without a spoiler tag. So, thank you so much.
@@krazee_aznnn haha I try my best and think I found my style. I love magic so much but unfortunately only have discovered it for me like 4 years ago. You also earned my sub 😊
You took a very quick and streamlined effect and made it unnecessarily long with the patter. Keep it simple. This is a very boring performance of this trick.
Hi jaytpmc, If you wanted a less artistic presentation (but still with patter), please see my older video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4ydJHmULEtI.html Here's a longer, possibly "more boring" video explanation of where I wanted to take my magic in 2023: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YdgcnkrcbTA.html TL;DR My goal was not quick/streamlined performance. My goal was to become more creative and/or introduce personal elements into my magic performances. My apologies that you found this particular performance boring. You would be better suited watching my 100 Tricks in 100 Days project in which many of the tricks are "less creative" and closer to many of the original intended performances: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-d1J-1PCANbs.html
A lot of tricks I learn are mostly from watching other performances and figuring out how to achieve the effect (and making my own presentation). So it has been hard to find source material from Kiyoshi Satoh until a book was made available (for English speakers) 私が学ぶトリックの多くは、主に他のパフォーマンスを見て、その効果を達成する方法を見つけ出すこと(そして自分のプレゼンテーションを作成すること)から得られます。そのため、(英語話者向けの)本が出版されるまで、佐藤潔氏の資料を見つけるのは困難でした www.vanishingincmagic.com/card-magic/no-mans-land-series/ I did a couple of other performances of tricks based on Kiyoshi Satoh tricks I saw on another magician's channel 別のマジシャンのチャンネルで見た佐藤潔のトリックに基づいたトリックのパフォーマンスを他にもいくつか行いました。 - "Be Sisters" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vvh3aT-_yrw.html - "Phantom Temptation" (might have been originally called Hotel Temptation or something- I don't know 元々はホテル テンプテーションか何かという名前だったかもしれません - わかりません) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6erPU1Yi3vA.html
Admittedly I had seen this somewhere, and reverse engineered it (even though I think there are tutorials for this version out there). I don't know where this would be separately purchaseable (although I am sure it is). I had all the pieces (including gaffs) to achieve the effect myself on hand. I'll let you know that before the trick, the cards are not examinable. After the trick, the cards are examinable because I perform some sleight to swap the gaffs for regular playing cards. So the spectators would be inspecting the regular playing cards at the end. Magician Notes: The part in which I perform the switch for regular playing cards was an addition that I put into the performance of this trick. I thought it would be nice and neat to end in a state in which the spectators can grab the cards and look at them themselves. Ending super clean post-performance! If you can't figure out the gaffs yourself, let me know and I can direct you to other sources to obtain the gaffs.
Christams is what they celebrate in the Wizard world right? You're a wizard Krazee. Merry Christams! Oh, and Happy New Year! At the time of this comment.
The table thing is my presentation of it. This is also sometimes known as Imagine by Cameron Francis. I believe both Bannon and Francis worked on it together.
Thanks for the comment! My apologies, I currently don't make tutorials (especially for marketed tricks). If you need to know how this trick is done for performing it on your own, Penguin Magic is selling it. Just search for "Chop Shop by John Bannon". Thank you for watching!
Knowing this specific deck well, I can easily tell what you did. However, still great handling and I definitely wouldn't have caught most if it wasn't this deck
For someone familiar with the deck already, it means a lot to hear that you enjoyed my handling! Thank you kindly for watching and thanks for the comment!
Thank you kindly. It took me a couple tries, but I got there. Of course! No problem. You did "request" it after all. The triangle cards are still hard. LOL
@@krazee_aznnn You should make it a redeem! Of course not all tricks work with these cards, so you probablly may need to experiment what tricks are best suited and comfortable to perform with them.
