Hi Sir! Just a practice riff... This guitar is for sale so see the description section to see how to buy it either on eBay or on Kijiji (if you're in Canada). Thanks! JL :-)
Hy, i have really thick fingers, i haven't touched an electric guitar in my life and i want to play now Suggest me something, i am from india and my budget is around 30k Indian rupees
Hi Sir! Thanks for your message! I can't really help you as 30k ruppees would not cover shipping to India... Unless you have a friend/relative/co-worker here in Canada to which I can send the guitar (for FREE). Let me know via my 2 selling sites as mentioned in the comment section. The Kijiji on is preferable. Thanks, JL :-)

Hi Sir! When I got this one, they couldn't locate the other one so Fender had to reverse engineered from George's (owned by Delaney at the time)... :-)
Love your collection. The most I got to in my own was a 325 Miami Ric ‘64 RI, an Epi Elistist Casino MiJ, and a 2017 Rosewood Tele Harrison RI Sold my ric to Mike Paccheli -wish I had it back! That Ric 425!! Nice
Thanks for showing these Hofners of your collection. I have three, newer German Hofner basses and am now considering getting a German made club guitar as well. How are the single coil pickups, as the type shown here? I mean how are they in terms of tone quality vs how bad is the 60 cycle hum to work around? In this video I didn't really perceive any noticeable noise, perhaps due to the modest volume you're playing at?
Truss rod? John's had strip tuners too..not single tuners. No gap at end of fretboard. Fret markers not uniform ..they got smaller higher up. Hofner missed the boat unfortunately.
Hi Sir! Of the 120 guitars made (for the 120th anniversary of Höfner) only serial no 1 (the prototype presented to Mrs. Ono) had a truss cover. Thanks for your question! JL :-)
The Beatles did not only take a nice, warm vacation in Miami during their first visit to the U.S, they rehearsed and made their second appearance "The Ed Sullivan Show" at the Deauville Beach Hotel Miami Beach on Feb. 16, 1964, to 70 million TV viewers. While they were there, Rickenbacker sent John a new, Jetglow" (black) 325, similar to the originally honey-blonde finished, later crudely painted black 1958 325 "Capri" that he had bought in Hamburg in 1960 and played during The Beatles' first appearance on the Sullivan show. on February 9, 1964. John played the new Rickenbacker during this show but later said that it wasn't as good a his original one. That is why this guitar is called "The Miami Rickenbacker". He soon stopped playing a Rickenbacker altogether and went on to play an Epiphone Casio as did Paul and George. The "Casino" was the Beatles' favourite guitar although they also liked the Fender Stratocaster a lot and used it extensively on "Revolver" and "Sgt. Pepper's", "Magical Mystery Tour", and thereafter.
Hi Sir! You're right! Nice topo from a true Beatles fan! Just to add: Sir John' Rickenbacker was a 3/4 model! Anyone who tried to "imitate" Sir John' posture discovered why he could stand like that! Thanks again and feel free to check out the rest of my 16 Beatles Collection on RU-vid/eBay! JL :-)
@@jljl202 Yes, the Rickenbacker 325 "Capri" is considered to be a "3/4" guitar because its scale length is only 21" compared to an Epiphone "Casino's" scale length of 24.75", and a Fender "Stratocaster's" scale length of 25.5". Short-scale necks make some things easier to play from the nut to the middle of the neck, but for those with large or even average hands/fingers playing is this hindered at the upper positions of the neck because the shorter scale means that the frets are very close together there, almost as on a mandolin. I will check your stuff out. John Lennon and George Harison were never Knighted as were Paul McCartney and later Richard Starkey (Ringo), so it's not "Sir John". Happy Holidays
George had two Rickenbacker 12 string guitars. Both Fireglo finish. His first one was a 1963 360/12 . It was the second electric 12 string that Rickenbacker ever made. It had the sharp horns that we now associate with Rickenbacker's 330 model series. And most importantly, it was the first 12 string guitar that was strung in the Rickenbacker way (low unison E, A, D and G strings on top) rather than in the traditional 12 string manner. His second one was a 1965 360/12 with the rounded horns which we now associate with Rickenbacker's 360 model series. Here is a video of George receiving this guitar ... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GfgznsGXbGQ.html George used this guitar on "If I Needed Someone". A track which inspired Jim McGuinn to develop his signature 12 string guitar sound for The Byrds. This guitar "disappeared" at some point ... and has never resurfaced.
