@FenixLightingUSA you're wrong. Nobody likes the rubber bands that cover the USB port. Its nice losing them.. 😂 I always have a spare battery ready to use. Do not disable the flashlight while it is charging. 😏
Looks good, other than the rubber flap. I have yet to have one hold up for any period of time. At least its location looks like electrical tape can be used to secure it. At this point, I only buy models that have the screw down cover like my PD25R, or require removal of the battery to recharge like my PD35 V3.0. I generally carry one or the other on a daily basis.
This flashlight has internal waterproofing for the port, so even if you don't completely secure the rubber cover or it comes off, this light will still maintain its IP68 rating.
I generally hate when these pocket holders are just clipped onto the body. That's just not secure enough, they come off too easily. Can't you just screw them to the housing somehow? At the separation point where you have access to the battery, for example? (for furture upgrades and projects) Anyway just ordered one.
@@FenixLightingUSA The PD36 V2 Clip is ok but i have several "Maglite sized" flashlights (Varta Nightcutter e.g.) that you couldn't even take one small hop with....
@@FenixLightingUSA i know, i bought it. My comment was about your video. Shooting it with the warm white would look better imo. The color temperature used in the video was cool. I also bought the CL27R, i love that even more!
Technically the HM65R, however take a close look at the runtime charts for each. The HM65R will run loner at certain levels, but at a much lower brightness than the HM75R.
This thing is absolutely insane! I love it. What sort of eye protection do you suggest if any? One of the most cool things I have ever bought, feels like a light saber lol.
This is a class 1 laser, so it shouldn't cause permanent damage to someone if you shine it in someones eyes by accident. However we recommend you don't... just to be safe ;) Glad you like this flashlight!
This was exactly what I needed to hear and see! I usually keep my light in low mode as I use it at night, but today my leg nearly burnt because my FD22 was on and on high while sitting. I guess my fat 🍑 turned it on lol. Thank you from saving me an whole evening of trying to take my light apart. Again.
I have the V3.0 and love it. So much so that I've bought one for myself and three for family members. The one thing that would make this perfect is a tail switch for memory instant on.
Hi ! I love your flashlights but right now i have this model fénix E28R ! But When i move the flashlight is turns on automatically and i cant change for other options for use ! Can you help me !! Please
I miss the copper accent on the v2 tbh. Magnetic tail is nice. I wish I had the choice between always starting out in low and memory of last used setting.
@@FenixLightingUSAworks pretty well. For the next light I would recommend : red light, flood light and then spot light. That order seems to make more sense to me.
I have this model. Use it almost every evening on walks. It gets very warm on the higher settings, but not dangerous. I like that it will auto dim when the battery is getting low, letting you know it’s time to charge.
That light has a battery level indicator, so when you turn it on it let's you know the current battery status. And it has a low-voltage warning where the battery level indicator blinks to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.
I'm confused as to why you'd want a strobe for this type of light. I have the v1 and v2 of this light and last thing I want is another setting, especially a strobe I might accidentally activate while getting out of bed or letting the dogs out.
Looking forward to this! I already have the V2 and I’m impressed. This new version with metal switch will surely be better than the old rubber button from previous versions that easily gets damaged.
The E12 has definitely been getting better over time. Still wish it had a lower low mode though...somewhere between 1 to 3 lumens would make it almost perfect.
been using mine for almost 3 years and it works great! the battery life is really amazing, same with the power output and the evenly beam pattern! i use it basically all the time when i'm cycling at night (almost daily) in combination with the sigma aura 100

I have 3 hours on this light now running 3.7 volt 14500 batteries and I've had no problems. The light doesn't get crazily hot because it's still not super bright even on high. But, I will just turn it on and let it tail stand on high and have had zero issues
I've been buying ALOT of flashlights recently, and this model is the only one I loved so much that I even bought a spare! I think you've hit this one out of the park, it's hard to imagine a better allround light, relatively high candela for the size of it and a battery charge that appears to be even better than the numbers provided, I am outright impressed. 👏
Our numbers are never embellished. We have to meet ANSI standards for all specifications and list those ANSI approved numbers on our website. We even show a runtime chart showing the decline in specs as the battery discharges. No other flashlight company does that.
The 21700 cells are quite good, if you want something with alot more runtime you'd have to get a bigger flashlight holding bigger batteries. Looking at 8-8,5 hrs at around 350 lumens is pretty much what you get no matter what premium light you go for with a 21700. There is always the option of carrying a spare battery or a powerbank if you are going offgrid for a longer duration though.
@@tundrawhisperer4821 What DO you get? Have you timed it? I'm curious, cause my standard version goes on and on forever. Have you tried different cells to see if you've got a bad one?
