I took one of your curve classes at Road to CA a couple of years ago. With that class I purchased a set of your rulers. Can this book be used with those curved rulers or what book would you recommend?
Are you following the directions that come with the pattern? I have the pattern and your instructions are different. You cut pieces off colored side triangles, you cut 3” off the lights, etc.
I love this pattern so much. I didn’t discover until after the holidays but I’m having fun now. I love the wacky doo feel. Great job. Thanks for the pattern. Well I did buy the pattern and the ruler.
I bought one of these. It does not work as smoothly as demonstrated tho I have just begun using it and am still learning. It is a great idea. She demonstrates the tip using paper piecing. I am an appliquer and have used Elmers glue sticks forever to lightly place finished applique pieces in position on cloth before stitching down. The glue either comes out to much or not enough so I turn the base and globs come out. It could be my glue is older and dryer. Also let me say again I have just started using this great tool so maybe some more practice is in order. I give it a 5 out of 5 for concept alone.
I always look forward to you talking about & demonstrating new projects. You have the perfect skills/personality, etc., to show great product that will enhance & continue to make quilting such a peaceful & beautiful enjoyment. I am a huge fan of “The Gypsie Quilter,” but then who isn't. Thank you so much🪡🧵✂️
While I have another ruler to make this quilt block, I HIGHLY recommend that one get a precision tool such as this. In fact for any block with high bias with need for perfect 1/4 inch clearances. Cutting from rectangles like this, too, ensures quick cutting. And what could be more perfect than using your Stripology ruler to make quick cutting/subcutting? If working in production mode, consider glue basting your pairs together to stack by your machine for pedal to the metal sewing without shifting or pricking.
