Have been wanting a Pajero for awhile now. I am in Washington State. Brother-in-law found a 2003 Pajero Fieldsmaster Diesel Intercooling 2800 Automatic Red body color, with silver bumpers., close to our retirement house in the Philippines. 1st thing they did was take to a shop and had front end inspected and replaced shocks, brakes, inner outer bearing. Replaced all oils, filters, cleaned turbo, I found out from buyer maintenance was not done in awhile. Had radiator leak fixed that found out no thermostat ( meaning used water ). Fixed radiator , flush out , put coolant back in, replaced thermostat. Body in great shape, need to repaint from and rear bumpers. Most important is transmission works, A/C works, engine works.
Once you do this you need to protect the surface to prevent UV degradation. The easiest / cheapest way is UV resistant clear lacquer. This will slow the degradation down.
Nice. You will have a great time. Lot more camp sites on the south side. Hopefully the van is not too top heavy, off camber sections may get your heart rate up a little. Helps to have a spotter.
Hello, I have a question, what is the difference between 4630a011 and 4630a012? Do they both work well or do I have to choose the right one? My car has 4630a011
Hey! Could you share what cables for the Montero harness are what? Mine 2003 Limited, came without the radio and harness the cables were all loose from previous owner, and I’m looking into setting up a care play like yours. Only downside is that I don’t have diagrams where I can identify the cables in the Montero. And I don’t know how to match the cables from the CarPlay with the ones in the truck 😢 Thank you!
If you have a connector then you will just need to buy a harness ( see in video description) If the connectors were cut that’s much more difficult. Hopefully the link above will help identify some of the wires. The Harness would still be helpful because you would be connecting only the wires needed (the ones in the harness) after you identify them. Good luck. Hope you make it work.
Seems ideal, I will mock something similar, thanks for the inspiration. I wonder about any of the metal reacting against contact points with one another (mount - flange - rim) once it has moisture and some time. Any thoughts?
This was super super detailed and incredibly helpful to me. I have been wanting to make a table but something prefabbed like this looks so incredibly good on your Montero.
Nice Setup! Im thinking on change the wheels of my Montero and lift it. What is the offset of your wheels? I think the offset of the original wheels is too inward…
Great video! Just a question. To let air pockets out I need turn heater at hot position. But the fun should be at max speed as well or need to be off but just heater on to hot position without blowing any air? Thanks
@@bernardopriolo8383 Use the radiator funnel. Turn the heater on to full blast. Rev the engine to 2500 RPM for about 10 seconds a few times. That should help the air bubbles escape.
How do u check if the fan clutch is bad? I have mine free spin longer after engine off. I have the gen 3 as well but the 3.8L it shoud be the same removal method
Yes, should be the same removal process . The free spin test didn’t really work for me as you saw in a bunch of videos. In my case it was a process of elimination. We made sure the thermostat was working fine (I replaced it with the OEM) in the pot of boiled water, made sure coolant levels were sufficient. Clutch was the next obvious thing left. I also didn’t hear it spinning before so it was probably just free spinning for a while almost causing an overheating incident. Good luck.
To which cable did you connect the white and blue cable, which is the turn-on? I have the same car and a Chinese radio with Android and I have no sound... I don't know where to connect the blue and white cable that comes from the adapter! :(( and how do I connect the rca?
You’ll need to splice it with the corresponding wire on your stereo. All wires on my stereo were labeled so I matched them up to the harness. If your is not labeled, see if you can find a pdf manual online. Good luck.
@@isvisvisv By the stereo, do you mean the android radio that I am installing? because the blue and white cable is the one that comes from inside the car and I suppose that goes to the stereo... then the part of the white and blue cable that comes from the din adapter that you bought is left in the air because I don't know why. part of the radio goes or what cable it is connected to, I tried to connect it to the blue antenna cable and the speaker makes a super loud sound, I'm too lost
Hello, I appreciate your video, it is very useful but I have two questions left to resolve. Before removing the accumulator, do you also press the pedal 40 times to release the pressure? and the second question is if you know if this same procedure can be carried out to change the accumulator of the new OEM mitsubishi 4630a012 model, I thank you for your time, greetings from Spain
Hello. Thanks. No need to pump before removing just make sure the ignition is off. It builds pressure when the ignition is on. I think the procedure is the same for the newer accumulator but you may want to confirm with another source. Hope that helps.
@@MonteroVentures would air in the lines do alarm problems. And seems my pump is going to fill accumilayer for ten seconds then cuts of and start again and again. . Not filling i think and air in it . I bleed tommorow and see. If air in lines gets the abs to alarm.
Good video! I did that work last week with the same belt.. is the best belt for this car. Btw you dont need to remove the fan to change the belt. But is ok for the viewers 👍
Have you considered trimming or removing the rear bumper? The clearance is so bad back there. I am about to buy a 2006 from a family member, 40k miles, barely driven, never off-road. I am looking for inspiration for modifications. I like your front bumper, wheels and tires.
Thanks for the review I am looking at these lights. Is that other cover solid black (not transparent)? My state requires off-road lights to be covered up
Thanks so much for this video. I experience this issue. This will be helpful Curios if you experience intermittent central locking on both passenger and driver side? Locking via remote key doesn’t fully lock the dock, like the latches are stuck of something.
Very helpful video. Thank you for sharing. My Pajero’s has same problem. Sometimes handle stucks. Hard to open it. I want to change it, I am wondering why didn’t you buy new one? Should I buy new one or good second hand?
Thanks. I was buying a few things from someone who was parting one out. If you can get your hands on the new one it would be definitely better. Used one will be just fine but will most likely need good amount of cleaning as those get pretty dirty and get stuck. That may be all you need is some cleaning.
Good afternoon, I have a 2016 Montero and the center of the 4*4 turns on when I go faster than 50Km, do you know the part number in this video, for a 2016 Montero or Pajero.
Not sure, sorry. Check out this video may be helpful: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AsQx3kdGmoE.htmlsi=RdBNbzIu5jHprIsY More in depth analysis: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1YtenchmW1U.htmlsi=m1i67C8aTQfVAZKd
