Provide link to your videos demonstrating so called "good" form. BTW, cross stepping is for long boards which traditionally start around 9' and longer, not 8' mid-lengths. Very difficult to cross step correctly on an 8' board. An expert like you should know that.
I am calling bullshit. lived and surfed on the east coast for 35 years and it goes FLAT, for DAYS at a time, sometimes weeks.... jersey isnt special or different from the rest of the east coast. you cant surf if there are no waves.
Hey bud! Sorry you're doubting, if you want, I can show you all the media from the 1000 days if you have time. Believe it or not, there are two others that I know of that are beyond 1000 days too. There is a grom down south and a guy on LBI. I'm curious if anyone else is beyond it and still underground about it. Man, NJ can get really small sometimes but I've managed to find whitewater everyday. I get it that some people don't think about surfing small waves, but I have a jah enough mindset to do it I guess. By East Coast, do you mean NJ specifically? I can think of other parts of the EC that are actually flat for WEEKS due to those darn swell shadows, but I guess NJ is fortunate enough to be exposed enough to even the slightest 0.6 @ 11 ESE that creates some sort of whitewater somewhere.
@@xisotopex It’s not BS. I know this guy, and as far as getting in the water every day he is the most committed surfer I have ever known. Are there surfers that have surfed more than 1000 consecutive days? Of course. Dale Webster holds the Guinness Book of World Records for 14,641 days in a row over 40 years. Obviously, California is more consistent than NJ but don’t you think there are days in California that are considered “flat”? Of course there are. I lived in Hawaii for 3 years and there were days that were flat everywhere that I knew of. But I’ll bet that if I really wanted to find something rideable, I could have. It’s just a matter of spending the time and lowering your expectations. Just on the east coast alone, Dan has surfed from Maine to Florida. A lot of surfers may have a list of 10 or 20 breaks in their immediate locale that they frequent. This guy has over 100 spots in NJ alone. He has the knowledge and experience of how all the different spots in NJ break based on swell size, period, direction, wind direction and speed, tides, and how recent storms or lack thereof effect specific sandbars. Even before he set his consecutive day record, there were several years prior that he surfed over 300 days each year. I personally have seen many days here in NJ that are described as flat and all the available cameras back it up. But remember, cameras are only at a handful of spots compared to available breaks. Then when I found out where he found a wave on those days, I have driven to those spots and sure enough there was a rideable wave on a day that I would have guaranteed was flat. We’re not talking about 1000 plus days of pumping surf here. We are talking about paddling out every single day and finding a rideable wave. Additionally, he has video footage of every single day surfed. Actually, NJ is different from the rest of the east coast and if you had surfed all of the NJ spots that he has then you might have a clue. So as far as calling it BS, maybe you should take a humble pill and know that there are others on the planet that may have greater wave knowledge and far more dedication than you ever will. He tried to be friendly with his response to you but obviously your subsequent response shows how ignorant and narrow minded you really are.

That’s cool spread. I’ve surfed Avalon a handful of times and Seaside, AC and Manasquan hundreds of times. The inlet dynamics of Avalon still stump me to this day lol but it has its day for sure!
