James Riles III has been playing drums since he was a kid. His God given talent landed him at Morris Brown College with a Music Scholarship. He was also a performer and a writer for the 20th Century Fox hit movie "Drumline."
ATL DRUM ACADEMY was formed from his love to not only play but teach other kids and adults alike who have the same passion as himself. Through out the years, "Pray and Play" has always been his motto.

In my opinion mylar heads are better but i like kevlar heads too Although mylar heads are better for hbcu style bands and kevlar head are for a more show style band or dci

That is so cool and impressive. I am slowly learning how to play the snare drum. With you and my band teacher. I am in beginner band. And I really want to be like them. I look up to you so much.😊❤🎉
My main comment as an experienced (properly-taught) percussionist is that they need to be taught EARLY ON to avoid "rubber arms". This academy is pretty good, however, they need to be disciplined EARLY to not have rubber arms. Moving the whole arm is only on specific, certain occasions, mainly for show or for volume (like fortississimo). I care about these kiddos and wish them the best.
