Diesel mechanic making amateur videos for fun and entertainment with the aim to help those needing guidance on anything car related or mechanical
These videos are for DIY purposes only and may not always best practice, if you attempt anything you see in these videos you do so at your own risk. My advice is general only and may not apply to all vehicles, always consult your owners manual if in doubt.
I also like to include my travel destinations and review stuff I'm interested in on this channel too, if that sounds good to you please subscribe!
No battery needed, power to turn on the camera comes from the reverse light circuit we spliced into, so when reverse is selected it will switch on the camera circuit. You can connect to the battery and a switch if you would like the option to switch it on demand without the use of the reverse circuit.
Thanks! Car and A/C are going well, resealed the system, vacumed down and gassed up, A/C still cold and working well. One thing I should have done is replace the receiver dryer but didn't at the time.
Hi mate, yep mine both work, one to connect my phone and one to provide charge only, no setting up required. There are 2 spots they plug into in the back of the unit, the 4 pin plug and receptacle is only charging current and the 6 pin one is data and charge, might pay to make sure they are secured into the correct sides? Hope this can help!
The duty cycle on the T14 - 2 pin? I used the option on my multimeter (should have % or Hz) it shows a time on and time off percentage of the high pressure switch, percentage should be between 20% and 80%, anything outside of this range cuts the compressor.
Hi, I probably added unnecessary confusion with that part, the Z32 has only one type, the short one (30501-B6064). There are other types out there for different Nissan models, if like me you buy second hand, it's possible to get the wrong one (I was supplied the wrong one initially from the second hand dealer)
As a locksmith, well done. I would just say to be careful not to lose the chip that starts the car, as they aren't typically glued in those heads. How did you get on programming the chip to start the car?
Thanks mate. I don’t know how many times I have watch this. You have helped me set up about 6 spares for my Hilux and friends Hiluxs. Today I didn’t have the success I normally do. I found out that the remote was a different frequency. So the key worked but not the remote. For others, look inside your original key remote and be sure the key you’re ordering has the right code. B41TH is what I needed, but the one I got (I should have checked before ordering it) was B41TA. Hope this helps someone else. Thanks again champ, your little video has been awesome.
Nah I wouldn't expect the 3/8" gun to loosen wheel nuts, I'd suggest move up to a 1/2" 18v tool for that kind of job. But it goes well, I use it around here for M12 bolts and smaller and tek screws etc, all the small stuff.
Yeah I found the same thing, not much out there. From what I can gather the LT125 38 Husqvarna is essentially the same, I sourced the brake pads from the Husqvarna and they did fit.
That was a good video. One thing I would add/change is not just tell someone but tell someone with an invested interest in you, this point was highlighted when Grossmueller died at lake Eyre as she and her partner had told the pub (a service they offered) but the book it was recorded in was misplaced so no one came to rescue them and she passed away trying to get help. It is an interesting and sad story to read with some good lesson for people heading out.
Very good point! No point telling people at the pub or on Facebook where you are going, make sure they are going to actually worry and check on you. A very sad story to hear there, especially when she and her partner did do the right thing.
@@simmosworkshop Yes it was sad, they had plenty of water and if they knew just the basic of recovery they could have self rescued in less than half an hour. If people learn from the tragedy then at least her death was not a total waste of life. I have used this story many times when teaching survival skills.
I'm no welder but I can make two bits of metal stick, ugly but they stick. i have always used a stick welder, I have just bought a mig welder to see if that improves my welding, I'm yet to use it but I already have a project in mind for it.
Hey! Thanks for uploading this video. After recently purchasing a 300ZX Twin Turbo, I too am hunting the noise that my former youth still desires! It's been a year since you've posted this video. Therefore, please can you confirm if you ever made any further adjustments? Or is it still at the 50/50 ratio? Lastly, and as you know, adding BOV's to 300's is frowned upon. Therefore, has it caused any issues to the MAF at all? Or fuel consumption etc...
Hey mate, I actually ran it as full atmosphere dump and it's still that way now, no issues with drivability or idle so I left it that way. I don't drive the car a lot it's more of a weekender, but haven't seen any fuel consumption changes. I'm a bit of a child so I like to make it vent as much as possible, only occasionally if it dumps hard and I leave the throttle shut will it 'pop' from the exhaust other than that it drives the same as before, especially if I baby it. If you drive it every day, the bov might be annoying, but as a novelty, I like it.
Yeah LOL, fair comment, the press is a bit of a luxury. you can cut the collar off with a grinder and chisel without the press and knock the bearing off the axle, but the use of the press is best if you have access to one. 👍
