Thank you for sharing your insights. We’re planning a scouting trip in October. So far, we’re growing more fond of the area from the various videos that we are looking at. Btw, you reminded me of a movie start, I can’t remember her name at the moment. 😊
Over CROWDED Now and getting Worse with a democratic ran government in a red state overspraying all the public parks with DEADLY "ROUND - UP" killing Everything!
Here in the UK most of the health care is free. 4 weeks ago I had a new heart valve fitted. I dread to think how much that would have cost in Sarasota. Or any where in the USA. Mind you. I had to wait 20 MONTHS. Yes you read it right. 2o MONTHS. But it didn't cost me a cent.
$34.00 for water?? How is that possible? Is that well water? $90.00 per month for the 2 of us Sarasota County water and sewer on same bill. You can't pay 1/2 the bill. Even with a cel phone you have to pay the taxes and fees.
Hi Marissa! I can understand the importance of finding a good fit. I’d be happy to talk with you about that. There’s so many and it depends on your family’s needs. Feel free to text me and we can talk. This is my direct number 727-692-2702 ☺️
I live in Sarasota by myself and have never had a water bill below $60. I think just the monthly base rate for water and sewer is about $50 without opening the tap. I had to pull out my bill when I heard that part to see how that number could even be possible.
@@lifeinsrq I'm from southern NJ but I won't be moving for 2-3 years. I'm currently learning the area and cost of living. So far I like Pinellas and Sarasota county.
@@JJ-rf7dg that’s great. I cover Pinellas County as well. I used to live in Saint Pete and Clearwater. Let me know when you’re ready to start looking and we would be happy to help you! 😊
We used to live in E Bradenton, we sold our home and moved to Sarasota for the reason the neighbors have mentality not for disciplining children to study, school are not good there, mostly C grade schools, most Sarasota schools are A grade schools. We used to have to spend a lot of money to send our kids to a private school to get better education, in Sarasota, most public schools are A levels, our kids went to full time gifted school Pine View in Sarasora county.
Florida is like a beautiful sexy woman that you fall in love and marry then realise that she's hooked on drugs and drinks too much and takes all your money.
Unfortunately there is no Nordstrom, just Rack. Prices are insane for this area. We snoozed to long, now we are renting in Tampa Bay Area and hoping for some reasonable changes.
Oh, that’s true there’s no Nordstrom’s. Well you never know prices could pull back a bit. Keep in touch. Happy to help when you’re ready. Where did you move from?
Thank you for your comments. You are correct no Nordstrom’s in this area. I never realized that until you mentioned it. You never know, prices might pull back. Happy to help when the time is right for you. Where did you move from?
Hi there! Thank you for your comments. Yes I realize that’s higher than the national average. We do live in a very beautiful area. Whereabouts are you? Would love to hear what your median sales price is were you live.
I enjoyed this video. We just bought a 2nd home in Sarasota last July with plans to move here permanently in about a year. Utility costs for us run about $55 for electric & $160 for water when we are not there (3 bed 2 bath 2417 sq ft single story w/pool). I'm assuming water costs are higher than you mention because of the pool. Utility costs are obviously higher when we are there but not worth mentioning since we are only there a week at a time sporadically throughout the year. I subscribed to your channel & look forward to seeing more of your videos as we get closer to calling Sarasota "Home." Thank you!
I’m glad you enjoyed the video, Andrew! 💗 Also, thank you for your comments on your experience with utilities. That will be very helpful for others. Congratulations on your second home here in Sarasota! 🥳 It’s a wonderful place to live and vacation. Just curious where do you currently live full-time?
@@lifeinsrq I currently live in the Philadelphia suburbs (known as The Main Line). I've lived here my whole life but fell in love with Sarasota after vacationing in Siesta Key several years ago.
@@andrewtobias7869 that’s great. We love it here too! I used to live in your neighboring state of Ohio, the Columbus area. What do you like most about Sarasota?
@@lifeinsrq This is a tough question! Can I say "Everything?" Things are so much more relaxed in Sarasota. We also love the location of our house (Palmer Ranch) because it is so close to the stores we frequent the most - Publix, Lowes, CVS, Wells Fargo, Walmart, Target, car wash, etc. - not to mention Siesta Key & restaurants. Even Sarasota Bay, St. Armands Circle & the Mote Aquarium are relatively short drives. It's also nice to know we don't have to go out to enjoy Sarasota. We can stay home, sit out by the pool or take a walk around the neighborhood & be just as happy. Yeah, there are tons of things to do in Sarasota, but sometimes enjoying the nice weather & relaxed atmosphere at home is just what the doctor ordered!
It's a great place for wealthy retired married couples...not really a good place for single people...not much going on...sit indoors with the Air Conditioner running...and go out for dinner every night...Bars and Restaurants...if you want to get away from the Beach and bars you have to fly out or drive 4 to 5 hours to get out of Florida...
Sarasota...been here 15 years...it's a well known that it's hard to meet people here...everyone is married couples who weren't born here...I know a lot of single people who moved out of Sarasota because of that...they felt out of place...
