How inspiring Devin! Congratulations! I hope one day to prepare and be prepared for this big day, a challenge of a lifetime. I continue on the journey... I don't have the age (50'), mobility and agility that I see in Devin, but I hope to achieve the knowledge expected by my masters. If one day, God allows me to have a dojo to train others, I also want to be inspired by Master Roy Dean, an example in the training of true Samurai. A friend from Brazil, thanks.
If OSHA got a hold of the scene of those kids climbing the tractor it would be a heart attack meanwhile they don't know where or what their kid's are doing. 💚🍓
Stellar job Devin! You look amazing brother. Your response at the end demonstrates WHY we do combat sports. All the injuries, bleeding, sweating, hours of sacrifice, are for not only that very moment, but the connection to our coach and teammates. The journey is just now beginning and you've got greater things coming! Congratulations!
As always a display of BJJ that anyone could learn from! The respect and detail shown in every one of these demonstrations is top notch! A pleasure to watch!
I started training with Devin back in 2014 in Wyoming. He was always dedicated and putting in the extra work. He deserves all the kudos he getting in the comments. Well done Devin 🤙
I never expect to be that coordinated, controlled, or spatially aware. If I tried any of those rapid transitions that Mr. Henry did, uke would definitely be taking a boot to the face. :)
These crucibles of demonstration leave me star struck at the vastness of Jiujitsu, being a blue belt myself and a brown belt in jiujitsu I really see the fusion of the 2 arts and how they are one … the beauty in expression the perseverance and story each of these show is truly special … this is what jiujitsu really is , you can see how by the end of the session there is a metamorphosis that truly happens … I hope each and everyone of your black belts hold true and carries this tradition on …
I have seen all your promotions and I must say this one here got me emotional. I felt his spirit in his presence. Great work 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼awesome Dojo and team support.
A shirt collar would do just fine. It's actually much more efficient in fact since a shirt collar is thinner so it tightens a lot faster and cuts into the skin deeper than a thicker Gi collar so it's harder to defend against. My first MMA grappling instructor used to choke out my teammates who wore wife beaters and plain cotton t-shirts especially when it's wet with sweat during rolls, just to prove his point about its effectivity during training. I was smart enough to wear rash guards which are elastic and tend to stretch at the collar so it's not as constricting, so he usually submits me some other way.
