Interesting review. Seeing this was 2yrs ago, Don’t know if you still have the car? Considering between this or a XC90. More towards the Toyota for the reliability. Also, is yours a diesel or petrol?
I have a 22 here in the US... do the Seat Spacer mod to raise the front legs of the the seat. Its much better thigh support for us tall people... I replaced the stock roof rack with a Prado roof rack to clear the shark fin... you can also install a simple mod to add apple carplay without replacing the head unit, look for Beat Sonic... enjoy..
Super interesting video. I’ve got the last of the petrol 4.0 V6 1GR-FE, a 2016 Prado 150 series Kakadu in Western Australia. Fantastic engine but pretty jealous of the 1UR V8 in your Lexus 🤩
the Prado is obviausly more of an off-roader, the Lexus looks made for tarmac, the bumper and steps would be smashed to bits in seconds offroad in comparison.
ok i have now managed to change the bulbs,. Super easy literally a 10 second job. maybe 40seconds fidgeting trying to find the slot back. You need to change your video heading. I had to go through my web history to find this page Maybe something to Prado sidestep lights :)
I tried to remove the screws and it had a seal kind of thing. Which i think now is gone. however i could not finish the job. I will try your way. And i think yours is the only video on youtube on this :)
If you break the seal by pushing the bulb enclosure down you can just push it back up. I did this on my Lexus GX (in North America) and it has worked fine, no leak or faults.
There are very few cars on the market where refrigerated air is actually pumped into the seats. The Toyota/Lexus seats are just drawing ambient air from underneath the seat. so if you really want to cool your seat, you'll need to set the air-conditioning temperature control to a much cooler setting.
Not many decent offroad tyres available in 19" - Ironically, there is greater choice of tyres in 20" even though that size is even worse than 19" for deflating tyres. Best to find a set of 18" wheels or smaller for offroading and switching back to the 19" for when you are not doing the serious offroad trips.
I own 2022 Kakadu and issue is still the same with Apple Car Play.. Dealers are upgrading Amp for phone audio and my car is booked in for next week. Another thing is also the camera quality is not that great as compare to other car with same price range but still happy with my Kakadu.
I think that is dealer dependent, mine wanted to charge but I refused to pay and argued it was a vehicle less than a year old and that I shouldn’t be paying for the update
