Halls guide was bs, who knows if sherpas really thought he was died or just on the verge of dying, maybe its just was easier to lie and let go, take his stuff and bye bye.. So sad, shame on his group, he was a paying customer

There’s no challenge left in any of these climbs. They’re done multiple times per season and have been for many years. They leave tons of trash on the mountains and this glorified circle jerk of self gratification should be stopped.
When the weather isn't good at K2, that ain't good. And when the weather is good, that ain't any good either because of the risk of avalanches and the massive serac - you remember what happened there in 2008, one of the nicest days forever and see what that lead to. A darn difficult place on earth.

Looking down from the Chimney with thousands of feet to go and all you see is a vertical line to the bottom. Disorienting and scary as hell even while watching from the safety of my living room.
